I just blow mine out - but not sure if you have my model of PV. Blowing seems to work well enough, then i use a strong flavored juice so even if there's any left, i can't taste it :)

Yup, that's what I do too. Just make sure to blow from the threaded side until you fell like your forehead is going to explode and repeat until all the primer drips out.

I blew mine out then ran a healthy amount of plain PG through it and blew that out. One worked out perfect the other not so much. So in the future I'll run more PG through them.

If you have burnt taste you may have to resort to more drastic cleaning like PGA, that mouthwash people mention I think crest brand or denture cleaner. I had a similar burnt taste when I overdid a dryburn I filled the thing with PG like 3-4 times and blew it out. Worked better but still a slight burnt taste. I may soak this one in vodka for a bit see if that cleans it up.

I blow from the non threaded open side - cos I often flood my attys :D so I can't stand the nasty burny taste of juice on my mouth (and I imagine primer would be way more foul) from the threaded end. I find my way just as, if not more than, efficient to clear old juice/primer.
I have also used an alcohol bath for them if I get them a bit 'stunk up' with a strong juice, but ONLY drinking alcohol, never rubbing.

Here's a quick technique for getting rid of 99%+ of the primer.

-Blow through the cart end of the new atomizer pretty hard, until no more primer juice comes out.

-Fill atomizer with cheap juice, or pure PG or slightly diluted VG. This time blow through the battery threading side until all the liquid comes out. Repeat this 3 or 4 times, alternating blowing it out both ways (screw end and cart end) until the liquid coming out is completely clear.

-Put a filled cart into place in the atomizer, along with a drop or two of juice, directly on the wick, and give it a good 20 minutes, at least, to absorb the fluid. Then, cautiously at first, give it some quick test vapes to make sure the atomizer is good and saturated.

-If the test vapes go well, gradually take longer vapes, making sure your atomizer isn't running dry.

-Vape away!
