Hey. Im sorry to post this but im stuck. I had a cherry juice that i didnt like and so emptied out tank, cleaned and refilled with one i like but could still taste cherry. I looked around here on previous threads and have tried washing parts, boiling the tank and mouthpiece etc but cannot get rid of the damned cherry taste!! My coil was new in yesterday and i dont really want to replace it already. Any advice would be appreciated.
oh, I am using an aspire pockex btw
Thanks

Some flavors just linger a long time. I had a raspberry watermelon flavor once that just would not go away. Take everything apart, pull the o rings and clean everything. Let it air dry for a couple days. Unless you want to taste cherry mixed with the other juice till it goes away, trash the coil and put in a new one. Just one of those things that happen. I kinda liked the raspberry watermelon but chances are i wont vape it again just for these reasons.

One of my techniques for adding flavor to my tank is to add a squirt of a juice I like to the tank and then fill it with unflavored. A little juice goes a long way to flavor an entire tank. I like a hint of flavor instead of an in your face taste.

So, I agree with everyone else. Once the flavor is in the wicking it takes time to wash it out with the next juice you add.

I also agree that washing the coil thoroughly with water is the only way to restore the coil and wick to a relatively new state. Drying time is long, but the result should be good. Wash and rotate or dedicate coils to certain flavors.

As Eskie said a rebuildable atomizer is the only way to go if you want to be able to change flavor immediately. With an RTA/RDA you just empty the tank back into a bottle to save the juice, wash the tank, and then pull and replace the wick. Instant new tank with no residual flavor ...

I may get to the point of a rebuildable set up but I only recently started vaping and honestly can barely figure what i am doing now nevermind anything else :) I appreciate your advice though. Thanks

It's quite easy actually.

If you want to stay with tanks, get one that can take a RBA head, the RBA head for it, an ohms reader, tool kit, coil jig, wire and cotton.

You can use an online coil wrap calculator like steam engine to figure out number of wraps/resistance.

Many of us were in the same boat. Just stick with what you are comfortable doing and when you are ready to learn more you can try different things. Took me a few years before I even started using rebuildables.

No reason you have to. It's just another option. If you try to keep your flavor changes in the same sort of class, so not a coffee juice followed by a melon juice the taste will change over after a quarter or half a tank. Just be a little patient and don't draw conclusions on the new juice until you vape a tank of it.
