There's a lot of different ways to go!
Some people will recommend a "mechanical" and building your own coils...
Personally, I think since you asked for a STEP up, I'd suggest getting something like the Innokin MVP2 or the newer and even smaller eLeaf iStick. These are both small box-shaped devices, with a battery you charge with a USB wire (I'd go into a wall outlet, not a 'puter).

They're cute, they have a bunch of features to improve your vape - like setting the watts (and it then adjusts the voltage depending on your topper).

The other part is "what holds your liquid" - and you may find even more improvement there.
What have you been using on the Egos?

Something like an Aerotank or Nautilus may be a step up too. Or if you already have that - it's fit on your new MVP or iStick just fine.

My step from the ego batteries was to the Vision Spinner II. It wasn't long after that I moved to the V6 regulated mod. And soon after that I graduated to mech mods. But in hindsight. If I had known about the Istick I would have likely went with that and then stayed with it a while before going to full mech mods. All of this is one man's history/opinion and so I hope it will be useful to you. :2c:

As someone who has recently purchased an istick, I would throw a +1 for it. A big fan so far, and whilst it's the only battery I have, others seem to regard it well. This combined with my nautilus mini has meant I'm almost at a week without any cigarettes.

I've also ordered 2 aspire et-s so I can mix up flavours, which are a lot cheaper by comparison to the mini, so should be able to add comments on those when they turn up and I get a chance to try them out!

I'd also go for the mvp v2, my only beef with the istick would be the

unregulated low wattage with a fully charged battery for someone

using pre made coils. I've owned and used an mvp for about 8 months

now and it hasn't missed a beat, the only extra I would advise is to fit an ego - ego/510

adapter from new to avoid pushing the centre pin down with ego fitting attys

If you decide to go with an Istick and want to save some money try the TECC Curve - it's a rebranded Istick and comes with a decent atomiser and some free liquid.
Price is £40 but there's a 25% discount code for January which brings it down to £30.
Eleaf iStick e-cigarette | 20Watt box mod | Curve electronic cigarette
And the Discount code is TECCX15.

Not sure about the istick and oem ones seems a few have said the threads go in the 510. but there cheap, the Cloupor Mini seems OK but you will need batteries and a charger.

Its hard to recommend something these days I had a MVP 2 when I start vaping in 2013 was a rock and well built for the few months i used it. Ugly i guess being a box;) But seems there is so much new stuff and not sure how long all the cheap Chinese stuff will last going by the forums.
