Let's say (just for the discussion) that 2ml of eliquid equal to 100 inhales.
I'm getting satisfied (don't crave nicotine for some time) after 15 inhales of 18mg (per ml), you get satisfied after 10 inhales of 12mg, and my sister after 5 inhales of 6mg nicotine eliquid.

Doesn't it just means our body "needs" (got used to) about 5.4mg, 2.4mg and 0.6mg of nicotine?

If so, doesn't it makes more sense for people that vape just to stop smoking to get the highest nicotine level and vape only few inhales to get their need?

And if you enjoy vaping, (even if you HIGHLY addicted to nicotine) why would you want to vape more than 6mg nicotine, that should give you a longer vape?...

Right now I'm ignoring the throat hit and effect of the nicotine on the feeling of the vape because I guess different materials and ratios can create a different throat hit with the same amount of nicotine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm really trying to understand that :)

I don't think it is a precise science about nicotine levels vs. smoking cigarettes vs. vaping, because the delivery system is so different.

I was a very heavy smoker, about 2 packs a day. I started with 12 mg. because that's what the gal at the vape store recommended, and I didn't know much about vaping.

I came home and was vaping nearly constantly all day, and still had vague, anxious feelings. I upped the nitotine to 18 mg. and still vaped almost constantly, but had the feeling that something just was not quite right.

I finally got some 24 mg. and the difference was immediate. I felt better, and didn't feel like I had to constantly vape to keep the anxious feelings at bay.

So, if you think about it: we all smoked differently, with different brands and nic levels. That meant we all got varying levels of nicotine into our system (plus all the other chemicals they put in cigarettes.) And probably everyone's addiction level and tolerance of nicotine is a little different, too.

It makes sense to me that we would all vape differently, too. Different equipment, different nicotine levels, and different actual time spent vaping and getting the nicotine into our bodies.

This isn't scientific, but just what makes sense to me. We all need to vape in a way that makes us feel comfortable, and that lets us not smoke, if that's our goal.

Inhaling relates as well. I was a not particularly deep inhaler when I smoked, but I'm a very shallow inhaler vaping (if I really inhale at all and don't just pull in far enough to eject from my nose).

I started at 12 like Bug above, but that wasn't doing it. 18 was better. I finally stabilized at 22 as my falling nicotine addiction met my rising nic levels as I vaped (I DIY, and did by that time as well, so 22 was a home brew and I could adjust it pretty finely as I wished).

Eventually, 22 started to make me feel nic-sick and I began to cut back. That hit 16 pretty fast, and from there I brought it down slowly when I re-made liquid. I'm currently at 5 mg/ml.

Throughout, I've been a pretty heavy vaper and that hasn't increased or decreased.

Only been vaping for three weeks and the initial hit of 24nic was more than enough to quell the cravings. So I went to 18 with good results and have since tried 12mg nic with lighter, 65/35 blends of fruit juices and I'm disappointed in every regard, especially with throat hit. But I'm really just getting some sense of taste (and smell) back and have to remind myself that my 40 year addiction to cigarettes was far more than just nicotine related so I'm reverting back to what got me off the analogs. The lighter stuff has had me thinking about smoking when I seldom thought of them during the first two weeks. .

I vape because I just like vaping. When I'm at home, if its low nic or zero, I'll chain vape purely because I enjoy doing it, not for the nic. If its 36mg, which I carry as a fail safe when out and about, I'll vape a little as needed but hardly ever need to. IE: If its hour-upon-hour being confined in a building, I might stealth a few puffs somewhere but when I hit my car it will be the low nic I vape on the way home.
