I don't have one but, they are very well thought of and it's a cool looking mod. However, from a functional standpoint there are other mods that can do the same thing for less money. The madvapes roughstack V2 or the GGTB look to be able to compete in this space and they both cost less. If there is a significant difference that I don't know about, someone please point it out.

I've used a few different tube mods, a well known bottom feeder, and a highly regarded VV unit and none have provided me with a better vaping experience than my 5v GLV-2s. If I'm biased, it's a direct result of my experience with GLVs in relation to other PVs I've used.

To clarify, the 5v GLV-2 isn't a true variable voltage unit but when used with AW ICR123 protected batteries, the GLV's resistor "self-adjusts" and will give you a consistent output. Check out 6pointprime's comments below.

To all GLV2 owners - I have good news.

You can use virtually any atomizer you want on a GLV2 with the 5v endcap - including 1.5 ohm atomizers including the Cisco variety.

Believe it or not the GLV2 varies the voltage output - automatically.

Just in case you missed my show last night you can catch the replay by clicking the link below. Here's the deal: the GLV2 can use ANY atomizer without any modifications. I have tested the following atomizers:

1.5 ohm Cisco 510 and 306
2.0 ohm Cisco 510
2.7 ohm Boge/Liquid Xpress carto
3.3 ohm V4L coolcart
1.5 ohm 801 (non-Cisco)
1.8 ohm 901 (non-Cisco)

All of these atomizers on the GLV2 clock in between 10 and 11.5 watts. The GLV2 will adjust - without any changes or settings by the user - to produce a good voltage for the atomizer being used. This was NOT intended when Great Lakes Vapor was designing the GLV2. But it works, and it works great.

For example, when using the GLV2 with the Liquid Xpress 2.7 ohm atomizer the GLV2 puts out 5.3 volts under load.

With a 3.3 ohm V4L coolcart the GLV2 puts out 5.6 volts under load.

If you put a Cisco 1.5 ohm atty on the GLV2 it puts out 4.0 volts under load.

I demonstrate this during my show - this particular segment starts at around the 20 minute mark.

This is safe, and it will not pop your atty....please note that this will NOT work with other 5v regulated mods....they WILL pop a 1.5 atty or produce a vape that is not pleasant at all. On a GLV2 you get a great vape.

So if you own a GLV2 (with the standard "5v" endcap) - you have yourself a swiss army knife. Enjoy using it with LR atties - it rocks!

I uploaded a youtube video that shows how I tested several atomizers under load with the GLV2. The data is included in the description on the youtube video.

Hope this helps.

I own a GLV5v and GLV Super Mini. They are both great mods as people have stated above. One thing that annoys me is that they really cant stand up because of the rounded end caps (slightest vibration and they will fall over). Not everyone like 5v vaping, but if you do its one of the best. The Super mini is a great little stealth device to.

Perhaps if you wanted to save some money if you wanted both, the megalodon is a good mod, as it can be both a stealth 3.7v mod with 1 cr123 battery and with the 5v batteries and extension also a 5 v or 3.7v with 18650 batteries. I think this is the only mod that competes look wise, but that is a very subjective thing too.

I have had a GLV2 5V for two weeks now. During my research I found several different models with pros and cons. I decided to spend the extra dollars on a product made in USA (Michigan) as I cringe at the US $$ going to China with the vaping industry. I was not disppointed. It feels natural in the hand. It is a muscle car of a PV. I am refilling 510 cartos at a faster rate, but enjoying clouds of vape. Muscle cars used more gas, but the performance was worth it! Same with the GLV2!
