Wait, wasn't Elendil the one who lost the One Ring to Sauron? Been a while since I read the Silmarillion.

I believe it was Isildur who Cut the One Ring from Suaron's hand. And then Later lost in the Gladden Fields.

Yes, but I'm pretty sure it was Elendil who stole it from Morgoth and then lost it to Sauron in the first place. Not that Morgoth was any better of course.

But as I said, it's been a few years.

I know that Melkor destroyed the Two Trees. And stole the Silmarils. He was Defeated in the First Age.

Melkor was Sauron's Master. And Sauron Stole the One Ring from the Elves who Forged it.

Elendil never possessed the One Ring. He along with his eldest son Anarion and the Elf King Gil-Galad were killed by Sauron on the slopes of Mount Doom during the Last Alliance at the end of the Second Age.

Yes, I am a geek.

You're obviously not alone. Even though I'm behind on my reading. :)

That's the way I remember it.

And after Isildur cut it from Sauron hand (which was Black and Burned like Fire) with the broken Hilt of Narsil, it was Touched by 7 Hands before it was Destroy on Amon Amarth. Ending the Third Age.

Sauron himself forged the One Ring; the elves never had it in their possession. He taught them how to forge the other rings but then created the One Ring to control them. :)

Yes... In fact, He Looked thru it, Spun it in the Air, and made it Disappear. And the Ring seemed to have No Effect on Him, Which lead some to believe that he Wasn't Mortal.

But I mentioned After Isildur cut it from Suaron's Hand. So there is One More who touched it besides Tom Bombadil.

Who BTW was a Merry fellow. Bright Blue his Jacket is, and his Boots are Yellow.

Didn't Gandalf touch it?

"Gandalf held it up ... ... then he stooped and removed the ring to the hearth with the tongs, and at once picked it up."

Bingo.

He Needed to Test it to see if this was written on the Inside of the Ring.

Actually not Orish. I was the "Black Tongue". The language of Mordor, created by Sauron and not officially Orcish.

Yeah... I think it is Only really spoken Twice. And both time by Gandalf.

Once in Froto's Hobbit Hole. And once again during the Council of Elrond.
