I see you brought the same friendliness and open-mindedness here as you do for your juice reviews.

Awesome.

As for the meet, I know ........ is there, as is Grimm - not that that would convince anyone in particular to go, but usually (and generally speaking) if they attend, it's usually one of the bigger meets. I'm not too sure about the specifics of the vendors attending though.

There is a twitter handle you can contact @vapebash and search #vapebash also on twitter. They seem to have a pretty strong twitter presence, so you might have more luck contacting them that way.

Oh and as an aside, the hotel where most of the vapers are staying has banned vaping in the hotel in every room but the actual meeting room. I just thought this was particularly ironic, or may moronic might be the right word.

I went by tonight and posted a response to it in another thread. It's a unique event. I won't go back tomorrow since I saw everything in a few hours. It's not a trade show. Its a vapor gathering that had 1600 people by 6:30 with 30 tables selling stuff. There were a number of local vape shops/dealers represented. If you are writing a book, you'd do your readers a service by going tomorrow. It's dominated by the black t-shirt, tattooed 20 somethings trying to turn their earlobes into hoola hoops crowd but there was a broader spectrum represented.

VapeBash.com has the info. There was a huge turnout today, at least 3000, and more expected tomorrow. I'm guessing no one answered you at first because we were all there. It not the biggest, but last year it set a record for attendance. Then everyone else outdid us.

ETA: Windy City Vapors hold monthly vapemeets in Roselle, and Chicago Vape Nation is also pretty active. I know that CVN has a Facebook page. And WCV could probably be reached from the vapebash website, or call Cigtechs or Quitters for info.

I drove a long way. if you wanted juice it was the place to be. I wanted two things. high end mechs. either sold out or already i had them.
justhatip. they were very busy. it appeared they did not actually have any for sale at the show. I certainly did not want the ones handled by everyone. I kind wish I stuck around to see if they actually had any for sale. so I left empty handed. I will say the amount of vapor was impressive. smelled a lot better than analogs! well, now that I no longer smoke, err chew.

I had a question for anyone that knows. I have multiple furry beings. I assume the hotels have cigar bash as well. what the heck do they use to get it odor neutral after said bash lol?

oh, if anyone knows if justhatip was in fact selling on the spot?

I kind of feel like the op. I would have liked to meet phil but I did not see him. there was more to look at there than mods if you know what I mean. I felt embarrassed but game could have been on because they did id me! I mean they actually id'd me! plus i don't think my wife would have cared for it. kids usually think I am santa! anyways honestly at my age all I wanted to do was get out of that berry haze of steam. I couldn't even get up to any of the tables. well I did not spend long duh. rode 6 hours,20 minutes there, had enough,6 hours back. bummer for me. I can see how it would be awesome for my grandkids but luckily they listened to me about indulgences and have foregone them thus far. btw, I don't mean to be a jerk but that's a big room? they could hold one in our horse arena if they ever need an actual big room haha.

I can only imagine the headache of the hotel manager tonight! not just from the vapor either.

one last thing. I will assume everyone was cool but there were a lot of people. as soon as I entered I was already wary of the acquisition and subsequent departure of a high end mech. heck, if you still have steam other than vapor I say go! I am kind of kicking myself I did not tough it out. if you are writing a book about vaping you must go,op. I command you! j/k.

To respond to the origanal question yes vapebash is here its huge and its been a lot of fun. If you are doing research for a book its probably going to be a goldmine with political speakers and a larger more divirse cross section of who vapers are than i have seen in other places. If you are coming to buy gear though you may become frustrated by the crowded tables and sold out vendors. The hotel did dicide to ignore the agreement with the event organizers so they have had their hands full with trying to contain the fallout on both sides probably why they could not repond to your request for more info . So come on down or dont but if you fail to see this your book will be missing something

Today was Vape Bash in Chicago, apparently, well, not really Chicago, somewhere out there by Rosemont, it's not really Chicago, and also tomorrow. When I first heard about it I was like, right on, I'm there. But then I never heard anything about it again. Nothing. From nobody. I even emailed them. I let them know I represent a book called Vape Mania, and that even though I was too late to reserve a vendor's table, I'd still like to participate if there was any way possible. Guess what. No reply. Nothing. Nada.

Vape Bash has had a website with the date, location, and a list of vendors for at least a month. There's this thing called Google...

Off topic, well a little. I was in the quad cities (my original hometown) and took the girlfriend to Chicago for the day. Made the drive to Rosemont from the Shedd Aquarium. (A mistake in its own right at 4pm).

Anyway... Quickly made the rounds and noticed at least 3 separate arguments going on about vaping, and where it was allowed, etc. curious as to what the agreement was beforehand?

Also, to all Vapers out there... Please for the love of whatever, don't compare our plight, real as it may be, to the Natzi's. In my opinion, it makes you look uneducated and steals the power from any valid argument you have.

damn. I did not even see someone mentioned the holocaust. that is bad news. that should never be used as a comparison to anything. we all got ourselves into this predicament. who cares if you can't vape somewhere. I suppose they should not have speed limits either. sorry that is upsetting.

anyways so phil was there. darnit I just really wanted to meet him. that would have made it completely worthwhile to me.

another note. screw the smoke alarms. real structures have passive heat detectors. what kind of 1 star hotel is that anyways?

oh something I think is funny. someone mentioned Humboldt park. west town is tame. when they start slinging e-juice in Austin or kenwood then you know we have a bit of a problem.

Vape Bash 3 was bigger than Vape Bash 2 which was bigger than Vape Bash 1...Hana Mods sold out both days in under an hour, the table at Mad Vapes was always busy, there were hundreds of juices to taste and enough free sample were given away to float a river boat. The ZNA from Zen and the Carbon Method from MR E Liquid (2 more DNA 30 mods) sold out very quickly as well Grim Green posed for at a thousand pics and Phil Busardo posed for twice that. CAASA had great info on hand and there was a great workshop on what was going on with vaping laws across the US. I even got to sit and chat with Trent from Hana Mods again this year and also some with Brandon from Evolve. Even I got to pose for quite a few pics with my hooka hose 1940's doctor's bag. The steampunk costume was fun and the clouds being blown were epic, I wouldn't have been surprised if it would have started raining in the hall!

Well I'm really sorry I missed it. Once again I want to apologize if my original comments seemed arrogant or if it seemed like I was "bashing" vape bash. I really did want to get there but it would have been quite a hike for me and I had been out of the loop for a little while so didn't know enough about it. I will definitely try to make the next one.

What are you going on about? I've worked on tons of hotel renovations, hospitals, and schools. Photoelectric SD's are very, very common. Some use a combination of ionizing and photoelectric, but 'passive heat detectors' aren't a sole means of fire detection.

Even when they are used, they are used in conjunction with standard photoelectric detectors because they do not detect smoldering fires nearly as well. This is why PE SD's are more common, especially in hotels where smoldering fires are a greater concern.

Photoelectric SD's are the most prone to being set off by vapor, dust, and most of all smoke.

I just saw this. that was a joke. of course heat sensors are not a reliable means of detecting fires in that situation. I just thought it was funny you can't smoke in there but originally the dumb hotel staff thought it would be okay to vape. I do wonder if they disarmed the pe's in the grand ballroom. which is a huge violation if they did. I am not insinuating anything. it nearly rained in there though. just thought the whole situation was funny. I mean they were dealing with heavy vapor. I have a pe/ion,heat and sprinkler 8 feet from where I usually vape and never set it off. well of course not the sprinkler duh. nice thing about e-cig is you can safely vape in bed. which is just another way vaporizers have saved lives!
