i've spent alot of time (probably too much) today reading different threads and stickies, about all the different mods and atty's and kits etc.... available for e-cigs/users. y does everyone have such issues with the stupid simple 808 kits? i get awesome amounts of vapor with the right juice/carto's that didn't take long to find which combo's were right for me.

i'm saving alot of money using carto's/juice over smokes, the system (as previously stated)is stupid simple to use, no hassle, all my hardware is working great at over a month in, great vapor, i mean honestly i don't see why i would ever change from this.

i just don't understand y so many people seem to think that the 808 is somehow a "lower grade" ecig?

I still use and prefer KR8's. I think the main complaint is with the battery life. For me, I have my own system down for keeping batteries charged up and it's not that big of a deal. If you get a decent product from a reputable supplier that offers a good warranty, that's all that matters. I like the size and simplicity too. If it works for you, that's the point!

yeah i mean i have 2 tececig 808 auto atty's and love them both, i get a good 6-7 hours out of a charge and that's vaping pretty much all day, i mean my ecig is rarely out of my hand or mouth. i think that's pretty decent, the atty's have lifetime warranty's on them, i also have the phoenix that tececig offers and to be honest i'm not sure what type of atty that is. i know it's a 3 piece system and it's big as hell lol, like a cigar and honestly i'm not that big of a fan of it, it think it's a 3.7 volt but i could be wrong.

honestly after trying both, the 808 with carto's is a simple system, 2 atty's pretty much get's me the whole day, with a 2 hour recharge time my dead atty has been fully charged long before my 2nd one dies, so no worries. i squirt a few drops in the pre filled carto a few times a day and bam, i'm good to go all day. i honestly love it, i'll never go back to analogs, i just could not understand y after looking at some other vendors that have atty's at crazy low prices anyone would do anything else. i'm going to pick up a few spare manual atty's this weekend and some extra carto's and i'll be good to go for a few months with a few 10ml bottles of juice lol

anyways great forum guys, lots of info here and i'm glad i got to learn what else is out there, but i think i'll keep it simple and stick to my 808's.

In some ways this board is somewhat anti small ecigs and pro fat batteries and mods. I love KR8's. It's 3.7v. It's more voltage than 510 and Ego. It's as much voltage as a lot of a mods people use. Yes it has shorter battery life because it's a mini. Yes it should not use the really hot LR attys and cartos because it's a slim battery and could be damaged. I think hot enough to burn lips (as in Vapor4Life WOW carto on a freshly charged KR8 battery) is hot enough.

I own big batteries, I own mods, but what I vape the most is KR8 manuals and slim 510 manuals (w/ cartos) and I carry both.

I am anti-auto-battery though haha. I finally tried one (a KR8) and just sucks compared to the easy hit from a manual. A lot more work to get the same hit out of an auto. I am down to pretty low nic so I can really feel the difference. It took me two drags into my mouth to get the same hit as one drag off a manual.

BTW - I am also not fond of KR808D-2. KR808D-1 is what I like - the one that is supported by 3rd party carto manufacturers and has lots of cartomizer types available. KR808D-2 is the incompatible rebrander model, no manual batteries available and as far as I know just one kind of blank carto - very limiting.

Somewhere out there
I have a Halo G6 and it is a KR808 and I love it! It is a quality set up and very nice looking, vapes great, lots of vaper & taste, etc. I have no desire to change right now. Maybe down the road I will. I have several chargers & quite a few batts, so I never run out of charged batts, so I am good to go. I love the things! bnrk

Hey, I just posted my first post on here earlier today detailing my first entry into vaping and my change a week after to an ego 650mah. To be clear, I did enjoy the kr808 enough to realize that vaping is a much better choice than analogs but didn't give me the consistent flavor and battery life I needed. I was constantly charging the battery at work and on the road, and since I didn't have a second battery that meant I couldn't vape. Now this isn't to say I couldn't have solved these issues through tinkering with different combos of juices, cartos/attys/vendorforbattery but I made the easiest choice plainly available to me for almost half the price as the kr808 kit I first purchased.

I changed to an ego kit with two batteries and kanger cartos. The difference was quite substantial to me and I'm currently very pleased with it so far. Obviously, as time wears on I may feel the need to change again since most vapers on the forums seem to go through this.

Viewing the posts and opinions on ecf there seems to be a few trends that a lot of people follow based on their own personal needs. If you find the kr808 works great, that's awesome. My friend loves his 510s because it resembles a real cigarette. I don't particularly see the appeal but hey, he's not smoking. End of the day, that's all that really counts.

Vape on!

ya know, can someone take a look at this site please Tececig Electronic Cigarettes and see if the atty's they use are 808's and not 501's? to be honest i'm not sure at first glance they seem to be 808's but i'm definately not an expert.

the reason i question is that 808's apparently generally only have like a 2 hour atty life and as said when i use it i get a good 6 or so hours out of it. could these be 501's? lol sounds silly since i just started a thread about how much i love 808's lol

The ones pictured use a cartomizer and not an atty. Cartomizers are an atty/cartridge combination. They look like kr808's but there are 2 versions of the kr's (kr808d-1 and kr808d-2). Contact the vendor and see if they will disclose to you what the threading is. I suggest you search for kr808d-1's...those kits are awfully high priced.

2 hours is moderate to heavy vaping on the slim batteries. Anyone can get more than that if they don't hit it constantly so it will vary. I get much more time with my volt batteries but when I'm using them I'm usually on the go and not vaping constantly. I've got mods that I use at home or when I need longer battery life or a different voltage.
