I’m 54 and I’m using an ry4 tobacco with a caramel flavor. It’s always been tobacco flavors for me. The caramel is even a bit extreme for me. It’s more of a smell thing tho. I dont much taste the juice after the first few hits. The smell of most of the flavors makes me feel nauseated. They’re like cheap fruity air fresheners to me! Plus I didnt want to create an additional issue by getting too flavor obsessed. So with the fruity flavors do you actually taste them, or is it like mine where it’s more in the smell than an actual flavor in the mouth? I’ve never even tried them, and I’ve been doing this for 6 years!
That's a really great topic, no doubt probably worthy of it's own thread if not been done already.
For me it was a satisfying taste sensation, from a random raspberry watermelon flavor sample, that came very close to what I enjoyed with smoking and got me "over the hump" with quitting smoking. By taste I'm talking about sensations, as-in some combination of sweet, salty, sour and bitter. The specific flavor is a function of that plus smell. So, for me, I discovered the exact flavor mattered less than the actual taste sensation. Well besides the fact that raspberries and watermelons are a more pleasant smell than cigarette smoke.
Since then, I found a grape flavor I like even better. Not because I like grapes more than melons or berries, but that taste I mention is just a little bit better. Over the years I have tried all sorts of flavors, and no others have "hit the spot" like my all day vape. Tobaccos, coffees, bakery, other fruits, none were as satisfying. That said, the one I have not tried is unflavored. Maybe one day LOL. Hard to put down what really works right now.
