Nicely done Pictor! Nicely done!
Thanks

...feel more of a rather dull KerPlunk now ...just seen that the Peach tobacco won't be max VG! ...so sad about that!

I miss not being able to buy anything NT!

Had a really lousy time the past 10 days so I'm just going to say 'Aw what the hell - there's worse things!', ...I'll get off for some sleep soon! :)

Well, aren't you Mr. Entertaining this morning Jersh!?

And Pictor, you would look stunning in a cape! They're quite fashionable again! :D

I'm the hero this thread deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So I'll post things. Because I can take it. Because I'm not your hero. I'm a silent Jersh, a watchful poster. A dork knight.

Oh, you're a dork alright...

But that is what this thread needs!

And we like you that way

I have been tasked to keep tabs on DB, Pen', and Hawk' . . . . .

When I'm not doing that I help manage a small trucking company.

Neener, neener! The trucking company I manage is smaller than yours! LOL

I want to congratulate those who have fought their addictions and come out of the darkness with success and new lives. I have been clean and sober for a few decades and my worst day sober is better than my best day drunk. There but for the grace of God.....

My husband and I have our own motor carrier authority and currently have one truck. There was a time we had 5 owner/operators leased on but then the diesel prices when through the roof and they moved on to greener pastures. Now, with just our own truck, we take turns driving and I have learned to be a TRUCKER! Asphalt cowgirl! It helps me feel as though I can contribute to our family. I have some medical/physical problems that make working full time in any other job pretty much impossible. Trucking is physically challenging at times but I can set my own hours and pretty much get the physical part done at my own speed.

I have had previous careers but the longest one was in mental health. I worked inpatient for years with all age groups. I was lucky enough to get into the emergency evaluation area and loved it. It was like being a detective trying to decide what was going on with a person....mind and body. I was also a certified drug/ETOH counselor and specialized in helping dually diagnosed folks. It was a very good career.

I am having a great time reading all these stories. Thank you for sharing this part of your lives. The artist folks keep me in a state of awe. I am not artistic. But I certainly enjoy the fruits of your labors.

Thank you Lezlee! I appreciate that :)

...I was surprised that I didn't desperately want a cigarette at times, but I've been OK with that - what we both need is peaceful sleep and less stress from a certain family member ;) Hopefully we'll get both pretty soon.

With your life stories and experiences, you could probably write a pretty great novel!!! I loved the way you said you are an asphalt queen, it made a chuckle.

Congrats on your few decades. That is awesome.

xoxoxo,
Dani
