So recently I discovered the world of ecig apps on Google play. I tried out a bunch, and now I'm hooked enough on the ecig diary app that I bought it.

I really appreciate that it helps me keep track of my ecig related purchases and costs, as well as provides me with plenty of statistics about my having quit smoking and my current vaping habits. Plus it has some handy tools for mixing eliquid and a voltage calculator.

I just wish I had found it sooner. It would have really helped me with keeping track of things like eliquid flavors I like, and prevented me from overspending on devices and accessories by helping me create a sound budget to follow.

Anyhow, that's my favorite ecig app so far. Do you have a favorite? If so, tell me about it! :)

"Vaper's Toolbox"!!!

Best builder's app hands down!! Free on google play, lets you input some info and it will tell you how many wraps to make to get the Ohms you want! Super easy to use and made by a member here: ScottP!! It also has an Ohms law calculator. I use it every single time I build.

I also enjoy Vaperjoe's android app. I like seeing what the latest and greatest is as well as where some deals are.

Apple charges something like $100 for their SDK and inclusion in the store per year, while Google keeps their SDK free and only charges a one time fee of $25 for inclusion in their store. So most of the apps in the Apple store are more likely to be commercial while you'll see a lot more hobbyist apps in the Google store that are just for fun.

The one I use is simply called "Vape", and it's a good expense tracker, has a juice-mixing diary, a Voltage/Wattage calculator, and lots more.

I tried that app and I loved the ui, very clean layout and easy to use, I felt it left some to be desired in terms of organization and statistics. Specifically I wanted separate forms for vendor, brand, etc and it only had forms for title, body, and price... Also wanted entries to be categorized by type (batteries, eliquid, atomizers, etc). But while those weren't that big of a deal to me, the deal breaker was the lack of monthly expense statistics because I wanted to have the diary in the first place primarily to be able to set up a reasonable monthly budget.

I have published apps in Google Play and they don't charge anything other than a % of sales or advertising dollars. As far as I knew Apple was the same model. The problem with developing iOS apps is that you can only compile them on a Mac. If they are compiled on anything else, the app store will not take it. Since I cannot justify dropping several hundred dollars to buy a Mac just to publish a free app, it means I cannot publish anything for iPhones.

As to my favorite Android app, you might say I am a bit biased. :D

I assume the $25 fee is for free apps. All I know is that was what my research turned up when I needed to create a mobile app for a local website. I could do it for free with Android, just download the SDK and host the download myself to avoid any store fees, which wasn't really necessary considering the circumstances... Not like anyone that wasn't local could benefit from the app. With Apple though there was no chance of getting the SDK without ponying up the cash. What OS is required generally isn't an issue if you run a virtual machine. You can run the Mac OS on any PC with enough processing power and RAM to support two operating systems running simultaneously.

Oh you mean the one time account setup fee. Yeah that is not per app it is just a one time account fee.

You can run the MacOS in a VM but I don't think you can buy an installable version off the OS to do that.

Are you saying there's a stand alone app for ECF, or are you talking about the Tapatalk forums app they use to make the forums more mobile friendly?

There is an ECF app on Google Play, the only thing I don't like about it, is you have to log in every time it opens.
