Anyone else want to share their Halo story?

Hum. Well. I'll go, but I'm afraid it's not a very interesting story.

Halo was the first online liquid order I've placed. I kept going to these two B&M stores nearby and I've been so unhappy with all their juices. I like the owners of the shops so much that I don't feel comfortable going back and telling them that. So, I placed my first order with Halo for samples of Voodoo, Captain Jack, Longhorn, Kringle's Curse, and Belgian Cocoa, and I received the free 10mL of Southern Classic.

I love Voodoo, Longhorn, and Captain Jack. Sometimes, though, Captain Jack gets this really strange undertone to it. I'm still using my eGo Vision Spinner batteries with the ismoka mini BCCs, and so far I haven't really been paying attention to my coil resistance; I think maybe tweaking a few things might make me fall back in love with Captain Jack. I so want to love Southern Classic, but it's not happening. It's having a nice bath in some hot water right now and I'm hoping it'll tone down the astringent taste I pick up on. If not, my two bottles of it will have to find a new home.

I've placed another order for 30mLs of Voodoo and Captain Jack along with a sample of Turkish and I have a freebie of Tribeca on the way from the Numbers Thread game. I'll probably wait until they're running a sale before I make another order. There are some other suppliers I want to try.

I'm blown away by how quickly they ship orders. Each order I've placed has shipped hours later. Usually all this means from the larger suppliers is that they've set up the pick-up with USPS, but it's still amazingly fast.

So you're upset Halo asked you to send back the "defective" product and you equate that with "poor customer service."

You've sworn off Halo, prefer the cheap ego knockoffs and believe you can make better juice than you've received and are posting here because...???

I'm upset with Halo because they sent me a defective product. It didn't work.

I discontinued ordering from Halo because they didn't provide a reasonable remedy to my complaint. Asking me to box up a $10 device and pay for the postage myself was not reasonable. After you factor in the cost of gasoline to drive to the post office and then the time it will take, how can anyone justify the trouble. Halo is just going to throw the unit into the garbage anyway. I believe they are deliberately creating obstacles knowing that the average consumer wouldn't bother. My problem with Halo is that they show no concern for customer satisfaction. Most of the back and forth messages were a waste of time. It was as though Halo was intentionally stalling and trying to avoid fixing my dispute. I know $10 is a trivial amount. My problem was the lack of respect I was receiving.

DIY juice is not better than the stuff you can buy in stores or online. It's just 90% cheaper. I just counted. I have 25 bottles of e-juice right now. Half of them were bought online. Some of my DIY stuff is pretty good. Some of it sucks. Vaping is a hobby for me.

Hi JRudey,

I'm sorry you feel that we show no concern for customer satisfaction as actually the opposite is true! Customer satisfaction is at the top of our list and we believe this is a large part of why our following is so strong! I have also responded to the thread you started about this issue, I look forward to your response there.

I just got my Halo G6 kit last week--I'm very new here--and I really like it. Everything was packed carefully, seems to be well-made, and, so far, is working beautifully, with plenty of vapor. The only thing was not so crazy about is waiting 8 hours to charge the battery the first time, but if it makes the thing last longer, it was worth it. Not sure how I feel about Tribeca yet; I suspect I may want it to steep for a while to get its full flavor. The kit was shipped the same day I ordered, BTW. No complaints.

I started off, like may with blu. The battery life just was not sufficient for the way I wanted to vape, not to mention very short carto life. Looking around, I got on a couple of forums and happened to win a Triton 900mah batt, tank, and charger. Love at first vape!

I ordered the Triton kit, and since then added 400mah, 650mah, 900mah, and vv twist batts, as well as picking up some tanks, mini-tanks and cartos. Maybe I am lucky, but never a mis-filled order, slow shipment, or defective part. I love Tribeca and Malibu...though none of the Halo flavors I've tried have been bad at all.

I have several different mods, big and small, but I still vape with the Triton pretty much daily. Among a number of different clearos and tanks, the Triton tank still rates with the best, and I have yet to kill a Triton battery despite lots and lots of usage. While I would prefer to see some adjustment in Halo's return policies, overall customer service has been just fine. Fast order fulfillment, quality hardware, great ejuice flavors...reasonable prices for the quality of the products. I order for a number of vendors, but Halo is one of my favorites still.

I started with BLU about 3 years ago. I could 'smoke' in my house. I have never smoked a cigarette anyplace I have lived before- that smell never goes away. It was great, for what it was- at first, until the batteries went. Replaced them- again and again. The pack broke, so got another then a Premium 100 kit. That pack also broke; the batteries also went after a couple months. I also got fed up with getting dud cartos. I had piles of them.

I knew there was something better, so I found the Johnson Creek VEA. Their batteries are excellent. Extremely well made- pretty sure in the US. To this day mine still work and hold a full charge. They are passthroughs, which is also nice. The JC cartos produced more throat hit and vapor than the BLU ones, but were expensive and sort of oily/wet, I guess. Probably because the VG. I ended up using Premium 100 BLU cartos on the VEA. Worked nicely. I was able to cut down on smoking and quit smoking in my car. It just wasn't enough, though.

I searched the internet for reviews and almost made a terrible mistake- the V2 kit. I ended up watching Smoken Joey's review of the Halo Triton. I was sold. Ordered the starter kit and menthol sample tin. First vape and I was floored by the throat hit and vapor production of SubZero. I quickly ordered more batteries, another USB charger and the rest of the sample tins. I didn't quit smoking, but found myself reaching for a Triton, rather than a cigarette. I could 'smoke' in my car again. On the 5th day, I lit a cigarette, took a few drags, threw it out. It was disgusting. Haven't looked back since.

I now have probably 50 tanks- 6 in my daily rotation, 14 filled and open-air steeping in Halo tins. The rest either used ones I have cleaned, or new ones still in the plastic bags. I have multiples of all the Triton battery sizes, plus 4 VVs and 2 more on the way. I have gone through most of the little bottles and have multiple 30ml bottles of 8 Halo juices. Can't wait until Halo comes out with new goodies...

I went from smoking almost a pack of self rolled full flavor menthol cigs a day, straight to the Halo Triton 650mah starter kit. I have not smoked since. It has been over three weeks. I still have a partial bag of tobacco, tubes and the Premier machine. I have no desire to make any more real cigs. And that speaks VOLUMES about how good the Triton system has been for me.

I mix Tribeca with Sub-Zero at 18mg/ml and this works well for me! I love the flavor this creates! {once they steeped for a few days.}
It is a really good menthol tobacco combo although I will also try dissolving menthol crystals in straight Tribeca soon.

For an experiment, I have had two other free samples, Voodoo and Southern Classic. I mixed them 50/50 just to see what this would be like and the result is phenomenal! I cannot even describe the flavor other than it is complex and satisfying!

I never thought that non-tobacco flavors would do anything for me but this combo has become my evening vape. It is good enough to be my last vape before I go to bed, which is important for a recent smoker.

I feel fortunate to have put down a 25 year habit relatively painlessly. Seems too good to be true but I have nothing but very positive things to say about the Triton tanks. Zero issues, no leaks, long battery life and still have not replaced a coil. Thumbs UP! :)

The triton was my first vaping instrument, so since HALO is my first, i will always love them. We are not together all the time but I always reach out to them and order stuff (tanks, carto's,juice, etc). The triton actually stop my smoking addiction and i will always be a loyal customer for that. The only problem I have with HALO is when I want stuff its never in stock....When I want a bottle of Tribeca, its out but they have twisted java. When I want Twisted Java its out of stock but they have Tribeca. LOL :)

Halo was my first real vaping experience after using Blu disposables to try out ecigs. I had been on nicotine lozenges for a few weeks (ready to rip someone's head off) while my partner was still "cutting down" on analogs. I was determined not to smoke again, so I picked up a Blu one night and realized ecigs could work for me. After going through I don't know how many disposables I was ready to buy the "full" Blu starter kit but wanted to check out reviews online first -and I'm really glad I did! I quickly ruled out that option and decided to go with the G6 kit. We are now almost 2 months smoke-free and I can't even begin to describe how disgusting real cigarettes taste now. I'm looking into other hardware options now, because those small batteries aren't cutting it, but Halo will always be my juice supplier of choice. Prime 15 and Turkish are in my daily rotation, mixed with a little Malibu when the mood strikes. Have some Freedom and Southern Classic on the way - can't wait!

Tribeca was my first and still favorite liquid. I haven't ordered any hardware from them but will when they release their passthrus. Still tempted to try a Triton tank and will order a few when ordering a passthru. My mom has tried their cartos and still likes the V2 better. That is jut her.

As far as shipping they have been one of the best. Typically get my oorder within two days so no need to order a week in advance.

With all of the great stories posted, I suppose I can elaborate some more on my story. I had tried a friend's NJOY one day and liked it quite a bit. (Sure glad I never bought one though.) I went online and searched for about a month to find what I thought would be right for me.

Halo was one of the first ten sites I found, but even after a month I kept going back to their website and checking it out. I finally made my first purchase of the Element and fell in love with it. Stopped smoking the day I got the Element starter kit and haven't touched a cigarette since. (Since then I've moved to the G6 and now the Triton.)

To this day I have to carry around a few of Halo's business cards because no matter where I vape, someone has to ask where they can get one. (Sure wish I'd remember to give them my email to use me as a reference!)

I'm just "getting my feet wet" with Halo but so far I'm a fan. I don't have any Halo hardware but the juices I've tried have all been great. Well, I don't care much for Voodoo but the others are all worthy of re-orders. I have a tobacco sampler in transit and I'm really looking forward to trying those.

My only complaint, and probably not Halo's fault, is that I have had poor experiences with shipping on both orders that I have placed. I can't say for sure if it's Halo or USPS but I will give them both the benefit of the doubt. I used First Class Mail with both orders so I'll take the blame in both cases. Next time I'll try Priority Mail and see if that speeds things up a bit.

Either way, I already have a couple of favorites (Southern Classic and Belgian Cocoa) in my rotation and I hope to discover at least one more in the tobacco sampler.

My history with Halo started when a friend gave me some Longhorn which I still like somewhat, but it wasn't until I started reading posts here on ECF about this stuff called Voodoo and all the unique flavor notes it has and how it plays on the taste buds. That got my curiosity peaked so I ordered it and lo and behold I was hooked...big time! Since then I have also acquired and enjoy Tribeca, Shamrock, Tiki, Midnight Apple and Southern Classic and love 'em. They are great e-liquids all around for me and will always be in my juice box along with a few from other vendors I have come to appreciate as well.

Halo rocks!

Keep on vapin'! :vapor:

I just got my Triton today! I started with the G6 two months back. I love it. The first tank I filled with Belgian cocoa. It was fantastic.

The Triton is smaller than I expected, which made me really happy. It can still fit in my pocket! It's like a cigar. Maybe Halo should make a cigar or pipe tobacco.

Just received my gourmet sampler pack today. I'm in love with the 3 flavors I tried so far: mocha, cocoa, kringles. Will be ordering large size bottles when I'm down to the last sampler bottle. I won't buy their brand of batteries or carts bc I'm happy vaping my cheap eGo knockoffs.

My only gripe is that the their bottles should be needle tipped (this goes for every juice maker). So far hat trick vapor has the best bottles I have found. Very clearomizer and tank friendly, soft plastic that is easily squeezed with a plastic tip and a use friendly child lock cap. I think every company should have these types of bottles.
