You have to remember even though China-made items cost less, they also generally tend to be disposable. Quality control, raw materials, workers who actually care and fit and finish just aren't associated with goods made in China- except for Apple products, or course. Metals, for one thing, are very inconsistent. How they can make the same product on a manufacturing line come out a variety of different ways is beyond me. I generally buy several of an item, knowing the DPPM of Chinese goods, on average, is staggeringly high.

Maybe it's because the friends and family workers who I have known personally who work in US have all been {MODERATED}, and the horror tales I have heard about the managers and owners that run said factories have made my hair curl, I can not accept that the state of China manufacturing is any worse. Nor, with the horror stories I have heard of the condition of factories in China, have I heard anything to make believe it is any better. Basically, I suppose what it comes down to, for me, is I don't really trust any manufactured protect whatsoever.

Rotten conclusion, but that is the only one I can come to. So, basically I buy stuff knowing it is going to fail me sooner or later, and just hope it does not kill me in the process.

Some of the Chinese factories are better equipt than some of ours, some are not. you have to remember that the vast majority of what we use is manufactured in China, the rest most probably have Chinese parts in them. If your on a budget and do not mind the wait, source from China.

Most things fail eventually, some more than others, even Apple.....;)

They just don't have the EPA, OSHA, FDA, IRS, and BATFE, regulation this, regulation and this tax and that tax and hundreds if not THOUSANDS of lawsuits breathing down their necks and want their fair share...

This is why it's cheaper

This goes for "most" manufacturing...and we all wonder why so much has gone over there

Other than the high end APVs and RBAs it's ALL made in China. Attys, cartos, clearos, egos and batteries, it's all made in china.

Where is the HH.357 made? How about the Tatroe tank? You'd be surprised at the growing amount of vape gear now being made in the USA. You won't find them at FastTech for $2.99, but you get what you pay for. Panasonic cells are made in Japan.

Hmmmm, Joyetech (China), Innokin (China), SmokTech (China), original e-cig creator (Chinese), original e-liquid creator (again Chinese). Hmmm, let me think, any way you look at it, e-cigs have something in them that is Chinese made or created, or the concept behind them is Chinese created. Get over it and vape, or don't get over it and suffer. Sorry to make it sound negative, just because they are Chinese doesn't make them an evil troll, they are still humans like the rest of us.

Like someone else pointed out, even if you're buying high end US-made stuff... most, if not all of the parts are sourced from china and then assembled in the US. In some cases, it's the exact same hardware that's just been re-branded. Also, another reason why US *branded* stuff is more expensive is because it's been purchased, shipped, re-branded, and then sold at a mark-up because why bother if you're selling at cost?

If a person gets burned from chinese merchandise, it's not because they ordered from china, it's because they didn't bother researching what they buying and who they were buying it from.

I love the uneducated. Most Chinese liquid factories are in actual labs while most US liquid factories are in someone's garage.

Get a grip people. Your Cold War era thinking is rather out dated.

I don't know if it's Cold War era thinking (at least in my case), also that's why research is important if you're going to choose a US based manufacturer. NicQuid manufactures all of their eliquid in an ISO Class 6 / FED STD 209E Class 1000 Clean Room, and are a member of AEMSA.

Personally, I'm grateful that the e-cig was invented in China. However, the quality of the vast majority of the products made there leaves much to be desired. How many people have bought an off-brand Chinese cartomizer or clearomizer and it being a dud? A few companies do seem to make decent quality products - Joytech, Vision, Kanger, and Innokin to name a few. The rest are inconsistant and unpredictable from one piece to another.

The majority of mods that come out of China can not compare to the electronics, parts and materials quality of other countries' devices. China does not do repairs on their mods, they are built cheap and meant to be considered disposable should they break. Opposed are other country manufacturers who stand by their products and will repair them after the warranty has expired.

Lets go back in time. Made in Japan, nothing but cheap junk but we had to rebuild their economy after they wanted to destroy ours. Now made in China, we have no problem buying from them no matter what their politics are as long as it's cheap.

Now we do business with Vietnam for clothing. I draw the line there. Sorry my age is showing.
