So....I'm new to vaping, about 2 weeks now. I have been using a Joye e-GO, but it just doesn't have the punch i'm craving. I have some friends that have been using VV mods and a bottom feed juice box. I love the idea behind the juice box, but at 3.7v...it still doesn't have the kick i need. I do like the feel and flavor i get from the higher voltage their VV mods offer. So, I'm asking for opinions of what I should buy. Keep in mind, I only wanna spend around $100 for my first mod, right out the gate and I want something that will allow me to go longer before needing to drip juice. I am considering something like a VV mod (like an Integrity or Buzz Pro) with a tank, or a juice box that can handle 3v or 6v (like a Vapage). If you have an idea of how to set me up and solve my issues, pls reply. Looking forward to all the great ideas....Thanks for your time~ Sher

I hope you find what you're looking for. Sorry I can't help with that issue. I'm somewhat in that same spot you are. I have an Ego, Rn4081, 401, Kr808d-1 and other oddballs but still not yet able to get complete satisfaction from vaping. I'm fine when out and about but when at home in front of the Pc gaming, multitasking or whatnot I still crave analogs really bad. I guess my next step will be a mod as well. So good luck to you.

I don't own one but I've heard great things about the Reo line of mods. They have a mini which I think is 3.7 only, but they have a Reo Grande that you can vape at 3.7 or 6 volts so that you have some options just depending on what battery set up you have. Best thing of all it's a bottom feeder as well! Just do a search for Reo and you'll find tons of stuff, hope that helps :)

Have you tried messing with your PG/VG ratio and Nic level? Also what OHM are you vaping at? I felt much the same way as you untill I got into LR stuff.

I can't recommend much for VV personally but if I were to go VV I think I would go with a Buzz after reading the reviews. If you can wait a month or 2 and up your budget a bit the VVPV from Not Cigs might be for you also.

As for tanks I love my Torpedo tank and highly recommend it.

If you are on a tight budget as I am and want VV, check out the eGo Booster. It varies from 3.2v to 4.7v and screws onto your eGo battery, than you add your atty/carto to the booster. It works great for me. The Indulgence will also give you various voltages, 3.7,5, 6 & 7.4v but not as conveniently as a true VV PV. I also have the Gold Digger which is 5v and that is my sweet spot. I use all 3 of these devices around the 5v range.

Any 3.7v mod should give you that extra bit of punch over an Ego as they come off around 4.2v fresh off the charger. If your tight on a budget, I've heard good things about the No Ego from jazzcartopipe.com, a simple 14500 (or 18650) mod.

Just make sure you get high drain batteries like the AW IMR, they can handle the high amperage LR atties want to draw.

Yeah, there's two categories that you need to think about to answer your questions OP: power supply, and atomizer/carto/tank/whatever.

Power Supply
A vv unit is probably the best way to go. 5 volts is 2nd best (but that's what I use since I build em cheap) and stacked HV stuff (unregulated) 3rd best. Check the device reviews and ensure that they can support dual coils, or even triple coils (probably with IMR batteries).

Atomizer et al
This just varies so much it will require experimentation on your part. I use 3.0 ohm atties at 5v and drip. Others swear by (loudly) cartos, tanks, or whatever model-of-the-month they happen to like. I suggest you have some 3.0 (standard) atomizers around even if just for emergencies. They are good to test juices with too, and to help diagnose issues with other stuff.

The point is that these are mostly separate categories. Get the power supply decided 1st. Then play around with the other stuff. The juice-box issue relates them more closely so you have to decide that 1st. Also, remember that voltage = oomph. LR is good, but not the same.

Good Luck!

I'm in the same boat as you are. I really want VV, but it's a little out of my price range right now so I am looking for a 5V system instead. I hope to move up to the Darwin before too long, but they are on back order and I really want some instant gratification.

For most of us newbs, we need to factor in the price of batts and a charger as well if it isn't included in the kit. Also, extra carts, atomizers, drip tips, map tanks depending on how we like to vape. If you start looking at the whole picture, 100.00 goes real fast. The Reos are well over 100 and the Darwin is over twice that much. So I'm looking at the classified here on helifreak. This gives me post #5 so I can finally PM an offer to someone!

Being new to vaping you probably haven't had a chance to try out the different voltages so that kind of makes it hard for you to decide on which voltage you prefer. If 3.7v isn't enough for you then maybe you should think about saving up some money and just get what everybody else wants, VV device. They you can find the voltage that is right for you. If I had found ECF before I started vaping that is what I would have done. Hind sight...

I'm looking forward to the Infinity Pro by notcigs being released. They make the Buzz (the Buzz Pro just came out). It's VV like the Buzz but slimmer which I like, although it is tall. I think the original Infinity was like 90something with batteries/charger (not 100% sure), so I imagine the Infinity Pro will be at a similar price point. Hopefully comes out within like 2-3 weeks.

For the past few weeks i have been using the vv mod from MadVapes.com. goes from 0 to 6 volts(i tested it) and really woks good. Inexpensive at $34. Down side is that they only make a few at a time, and you have to keep checking for stock. when they have one, or more, order fast or miss out and have to wait again.
