I almost always buy HCIGAR sold clones when I buy clones. A lot of people don't like the fact that they are 1:1 in a sense that they use the serial/logo from the manufacturer. I don't really think about it. I have always said that I think HCIGAR could come up with a logo and have the manufacturer put it on there. I'm sure they could create something nice and neat looking.

I buy clones for personal reasons. I would rather spend 125 bucks on 2-3 clones then on not even one authentic. Authentic Mechs are overpriced for what they are. I know the building material costs and lets just say, most would cringe at how cheap it is to build a mech if materials were bought on a wholesale level. But I also know that there a little labor involved. That and the fact that I never see a mech that is different. Kinda hard to do with the mechanical concept though.

To each their own I suppose :) not trying to get anyone mad

oh wow, a clone thread. haven't seen one of these in a while
Hey - new people show up, they ask the same questions. No surprises there.

I wouldn't type up four paragraphs every time a new one shows up, maybe, but I don't see anything wrong with replying more than once if you think it's an important or interesting question.

Others, of course, are perfectly free to ignore such threads, amIrite?

the thing is, I would put my money on (only because I'm to lazy to go look) there being at least five other active threads on this subject. There's nothing wrong wiith newbies coming in and asking the same questions. But starting a new thread to ask a question that there is already thousands of answers to...
Long story short, search bar is your friend

now to answer the thread, I have a kylin and nemesis, both clones. I would prefer authentics, but I think the price on authentics is price gauging. I hate the way some purposefully limit supply to keep demand high. I think they deserve to have their market taken up by clones of the product they refuse to supply.

That being said, I prefer original designs at reasonable prices. Youde has a couple of interesting ones, the Big Nasty is reasonably priced for what it is. Super T makes nice mods, though that's approaching the limit of what I think is fair, and they are making quite a healthy profit. And as far as I know, none of the above are being cloned.

these guys asking $200+ for a tube and a switch? They deserve it and I feel better buying a clone than an authentic.

I find that opinions change over time, there are also new people that don't want to post on old threads only to get no reply and anything posted on one subject over time will always be repetitive. Still got you to reply! And I need 5 threads as a noob! ;-)

Its all good man. don't take it as me hating or anything. Welcome to the community. Great people here.
There are two threads that show up at the rate of about 1 per day. Clone threads and Provari threads. I've seen some get pretty heated, though this one is pretty civil except for my trolling. Those of us who have been around a while like to get a chuckle out of it. Go into any provari debate and I'll guarantee within 3 pages of it getting heated someone will say "i like waffles".

ummmm...sorry....but what's a clone. I mean I know WHAT a clone is, but how does it relate to E-cigs? Please pardon my ignorance here....

Doctor John Pembert Invented Coke, then everyone cloned it or tried to anyway. Some of the ecig folks here are saying you shouldnt drink anything but Coke.......and fly in a Wright brothers plane.....or only use a Russian satalite.....or listed to the original song sung by the original artist.

You can decide whats fair and whats not for yourself........but its the way of the world and always has been.

Your so wrong grasshopper. Sometimes clones are better than the original (many times they are not).

Nemesis and also the kayfun 3.1 sold by fasttech. Better than the originals...ask me how I know......;)

Either it's because you have bought one, did you research like I did, or because you're from Georgia and have to sift through BS like I do. :D

HCigar is some stepped up Chinese gear. I buy HCigar also. Haven't had a problem with any of it.

probably already posted here but ill do it again.

Are clones kinda wrong? yup but no way in hell im I paying $200 for a metal tube that I can buy for $15-$25 and pretty much have the same thing. Alot of these clones have the same volt drop as the originals and some of the clones even have less. You get what you pay for people- if my $20 metal tube breaks ill just pay $20 more and grab another and still have payed $160 less then it would to buy the original.

my experience with clones has been good so far. i have an ehpro kayfun lite, ehpro caravela and an ehpro nzonic clone and all work perfect. i bought these from a US website. i also bought clone protank II tanks from fasttech and they work as good as the original Kanger tanks that i have. YMMV

I love clones for what they are -- cheap alternatives to the real thing. The main problem I have with them is that the majority of them clone everything down to logos and engraving. I have seen some that don't copy the engraving and are sold as a nemesis 'style' clone or similar and those I have absolutely zero issue with. When I can get a Nemesis/King/Hammer/Chi You/whatever mod for $150-200 less than the real thing and function as well as or nearly as well as the real thing... why not?

It's like buying an Epiphone vs a Gibson.. the guitar is nearly identical and with a little love can play just as well as it's big brother.
