A couple of weeks before I 'went away for awhile', I got into a real paranoid state where I was terrified that the powers that be would make it darn near impossible to get my orders through Customs. So I decided I would simply bite the bullet and order big ... I'm talking BIG here. Ordered a whack of carts and juice out the ying yang. Figured I was set for ... well a long time. Sounds like a good idea, right? Well I have lived to regret that decision many times over. For any of you who know me, you have a pretty good idea of how much I like to refill carts. On the plus side, I actually have gotten pretty damn good at it. However ... maybe it's just me but, no matter how good a refilled cart can be (and sometimes they are really exceptional) somehow they never, ever compare to a brand new one - at least in my mind. I have missed them!! Not only that but it seemed to be that my all time favorite, 555, just never tasted the same in a refill. Don't know if it was the juice or what but all of a sudden, I lost that 'I've died and gone to tobacco/hazelnut heaven' taste. Same for the grape and the cola - two of my other favorites. It was ... okay but definitely NOT the same. As a result of this and a certain amount of raised stress level in things I was doing for the past three months, I (hate to say this) ... I ... (gulp) ... I slipped. Well actually I fell down a bloody cliff! Yeah I still vaped now and then but for the most part I was back on cigs. And hating myself for it. Anyway, back on the vaping wagon again, glad to say.

Anyway, the point here is that I now have a real problem. I really want to buy some new goodies. But I still have so much juice and carts left. And the darn carts just won't quit! Neither will the batteries! You guys just make them too bloody good!! sigh ...

Keep up the great work, guys and some day ... I will place an order again ... man, I can hardly wait!!

I would except ... I thought I would really 'organize' myself and reduce clutter, etc. So I found some old glass spice jars, washed them out and refilled them with the various juices to eliminate a bunch of plastic juice containers. Hmm ... another 'great' idea, lol. Anyway there are worse things than having too much V4K goodies, right? LOL. I think what I miss more than anything is the thrill of getting a package in the mail.

fisherpal, how do you wash your carts? i generally wouldn't bother recommending my obsessive methods, because... no one wants to go through the troubles i do, lol... but if you're really missing that new cart taste, have you tried *thoroughly* washing them with water just off boiling and then letting them dry completely? i submerge them in a bowl of just boiled water, then i slide a syringe down the side of the filling and draw a couple ml's hot water through the filling, then empty the syringe in the sink, blow the cart out, and set it in a basket to dry.

yes, it's a pain, and yes, it takes a bit longer, but i do a big batch at a time about every two weeks, and to me they're as good as brand new. i also let 'em sit overnight before vaping them.

(and for others--i totally agree that you don't need to do all this to get a good vape. i just literally can't help myself, lol. )

Hi Belletrist ... actually your method doesn't sound all THAT painful. Wish I had known or thought of doing this a few months ago when I was in the process of holding cart underneath a slightly running tap of hot, hot water and then blowing them out. Now that was tedious! Also didn't work all that well for getting rid of flavors that I didn't want in them anymore. Sounds like your method would work awesome for that! Just to make sure I understand correctly, when you insert the syringe, you are kind of like forcing hot water up through the filling and into the syringe?
Ain't it just amazing how these carts hold up and hold up?? Even I can't seem to kill them!! The only ones I seem to throw out are my RY4 carts as they seem to get really ugly inside. Kind of burnt looking but I know it's the juice buildup as they don't taste burnt ... just ugly looking after a few refills ... hmm ... I bet your method would straighten that right out. Will give it a try next time. Thanks!

Idea or not..glad to have you back!
It's funny you mentioned cola..the same thing happened to me and i decided I didn't care for it anymore. Then I added rum!!! I also tried cola and cherry! next will be vanilla coke.:p
I thought I was done buying juice for a while. And primarily I just like tobbaco and menthol flavoring. But I bought some cola while it was on sell in the 20 Ml. Cherry and Vanilla coke sounds too good. If I buy two flavors and dont mix it all I could end up with 5 flavors.

Going to have to put you on my list of poster not to read MaryKay. To expensive

Be sure those spice jars are COMPLETELY air tight, or it will be a lot of wasted/soured juice. I found this out the hard way. I had some unflavored juice(about 60ml), that I decided to put in a Red Bull single shot bottle (holds just over 60ml, seemed perfect). In less than a month the juice smelled horrid, and started yellowing, had to toss it.

I did the same, good idea, bad in practice! I ordered a bunch of the Parla carto's, got good and stocked up then ordered a BUNCH of the Parla juice. I can't stand the juice at all! So now I am scraping through the juice I had left over that I semi liked trying to make it until my next order. Which IS LATE BTW!! The friggin newbies need to slow down ordering so I can get my stuff! I ordered Sunday night and it didn't get out until Tuesday because they got slammed so hard last weekend!
Now I've got a NASTY storm setting in on us so I may not even get it tomorrow!

yup, exactly. i slide the (empty, depressed) syringe down inside positioned just like i would if i were filling it, and then i draw the hot water through. and yeah, putting them all in a big bowl together is fine--i was afraid they'd 'mix' flavors (i do get a weird steam facial from this, but ah well) but it's not a prob.

and UGH ry4 carts do get so gross don't they?! i thought i was the only one. it takes a couple extra draw-thrus of near boiling water, but this gets 'em clean, yup. at first i thought the filler in them was burning but it's just the RY4 juice getting gummed up and gross as heck.

it's most effective if the cart is submerged so i top off the bowl/mug if i'm doing a biiiig batch when the water level gets down to where it's annoying to shuffle 'em, but i just top off with hot water from the tap at that point, the gunk seems loosened up enough.

That made me laugh!! Thanks for the chuckle. But you will have a hard time reading any threads..I post a LOT!

The mixing came about because as we continue to vape we get flavor fatigue..weird, because we all smoked the same flavor for years and years!
One of my favorites was coffee with a bit of clove..I don't care for clove alone and needed to use it or lose it. I also discovered I liked coffee with amaretto (a capella flavor drop flavor.)
