I purchased my first PV years ago. It was called a Screwdriver and was made by a guy in the UK and it was really well-made. I didn't stop smoking then. I think because of the fact that the juices all seemed to come from China back then and I didn't trust the quality. When I checked into e-cigs again a few months ago, my eyes about popped out at all the changes.
They were first invented by a Chinese guy I think around 05 I started in Dec of 2011 and there was just a few choices Provari and the Lava tube were the big thing. By the end of 2012 there has been so many different things added to the market its unreal! Rebuildable stuff has really taken off. VV/VW mods are readily available. Its looking like mechanical mods are rage at the moment. Where we go from here who knows.
but its always interesting
They really took of early in 2009 right about the time I joined the forum. back then we had 2 choices an 801 or a 901 with the small cig looking batteries with the glowing light on the end. We have certainly come a long way in those 4 years and I only see the future getting brighter.
And yes Trogg (as far as I know and remember) was the first modmaker!
I started back in early 2009 with a 801 pen style ecig. If you wanted more battery life you had to make a box mod, then came the flashlight mods. Trogg's screwdriver started out as a flashlight mod, the modders on ECF basically started the big battery style of ecigs.
Probably around late 2009 to early 2010 when the US made mods took off.
Find GrimmGreens channel on youtube and filter old to new and it will kind of give you a history of the ecig thru his video reviews.
At least thats the way I seem to remember it...lol
