I know the answer to this question, it's borderline rhetorical. My first MOD was a Vamo V4 from a Chinese website. I upgraded from EGO batteries with this thing. Frankly, despite the "rattlesnake" it is an awesome vape. It supports 350 batteries or 18650's. It can go up to 15W. It's reasonably attractive and very priced very reasonably. But it's cheap. And I'm that guy that substitutes the word "inexpensive" when I don't mean cheap. But the Vamo is cheap. Had it not lost function in a button, I may not now have a collection of Mechs, a ProVari, and so forth. It still works fine, albeit if I'm not careful I may get a 14-ish watt vape when I truly don't intend to. But if I pay attention, it's a fine vape. It runs everything, no atty fails to connect on it. The threads are suspect so I'm careful with those. In a blind test, I doubt I could figure out which was the ProVari and which was the Vamo. But, when it "broke" I knew why ProVaris are so heralded, they don't break. Yea, the Vamo is a backup and it's a great ohm-checker but damn, why can't it just be well-built enough that it doesn't break in 2 days? It sucks, and I'm vaping it now because I do appreciate it. But this is our plight, us hobbyists and general users alike, I can't tolerate a mod that can't be relied on 24/7 to just deliver and not break on me.

With that said, mods like the MVP V2 offer a very good value proposition. EGO's are tried and true. ProVaris are expensive but trusted, fantastic vapes. Mech Mods can be incredible but inherently require caution and knowledge. Even still, this is a glorious time to be vaping. Just two years ago the EGO form factor wasn't available in VV/VW and Mechs weren't that interesting combination of functionality, style, and artistry that they are nowadays. This post is not about seeking replies, just general musings from a satisfied-yet-still-hungry vaping enthusiast. Vape on, ECF. And thank you.

Todd.

I must be one of the truly lucky few. I haven't been kind, nor gentle with my vamo v2, but I've beat the snot out of it for a year now, and it just keeps Rollin...

I've had som hiccups, a center post issue with attendant 9.9 error, a somewhat finicky fire button, and a finish the increasingly looks like crap, but it's been a good ride overall, and still is.

Wow, 2 days?! sorry about yours. Mind if I ask why it broke?

Wish I knew. Never dropped, barely was even laid down flat in the 2 days I had it. The "up" button lost it's "spring" if you will so it can basically be adjusted up without even knowing it, just brushing the button is enough to engage an up-click. If it had a locking setting, it'd be fine, but it doesn't. In fact, after I wrote this post last night and walked out into the great room, I went to take a toot on it and, yep, 14W on an Aspire BDC Mini Nova is not good. Figures :)

Who told you Provari's Don't Break? If they didn't there would be no need for a warranty or an extension warranty. Grant it they are built tough, but it is nice to know it will be taken care of if something does break.:)

Vamo can be repaired - cost for OCB is about $20 depending on source.:thumb:
