I remember seeing the kiosk in the mall thinking to myself it was all bs and after hearing a few people say they didn't feel like the real thing i wasn't buying into it. It wasn't until the begining of last year that i was "enlightened".Long story short - the councilor of this drug class i was court ordered to take had one and it was nothing like i had ever seen- it was a old style GG and i had never seen a screwdriver type before. After showing me ECF and informing me on the benefits i was convinced. About 3 months later after finally setting aside fund i bought a Provape 1 and have been smoke free for about 6 months now - the smell of cigarettes sickens me now

Since i have been asked countless times about my e-cig and hopefully converted a few as well
Any interesting stories?

I had a friend up in Green Bay that used one months ago.

"An ELECTRONIC cigarette?" I thought? That's just silly. Then again, I was the one that felt silly when it was -4 outside and I was shivering outside when he was still warm and vaping on his seat at the bar.

After I'd seen that, it was something that kind of stuck around in my brain until one day I got nabbed by one of the SE guys at a mall kiosk. He briefly told me about all the other chemicals that are in an analog cigarette, and sent me on a little mission. He handed me a paper towel and told me to go outside, take a drag off of one of my cigarettes, exhale into the paper towel, and then bring it back to him. Not having anything else good to do that afternoon, I indulged him. Went outside, took a couple good drags, and exhaled into the paper towel... what I saw was pure nastiness. I took it back inside where he invited me to take a few drags off of one of these e-cigarettes and exhale into a different spot on the same paper towel. Know what I saw where I exhaled the vapor? Nothing. No discoloration... no yellowish goop... nothing. I purchased an RN4081 kit from him on the spot.

Sure, the SE guys make exaggerated claims about how long their product lasts.

Sure, the price of their kits is outrageous!

Sure, I should have checked out a forum like this one first...

... but it opened up my mind enough to see that this was a viable alternative for me, and that is worth its weight in gold.

I'm still relatively new to vaping, so I occasionally get a craving for the real thing, but I haven't caved in yet. My desire to keep this newfound sense of smell and taste far outweighs that of any analog cravings I might find myself having.

I've since moved on to an eGo, but I occasionally pull out the SE model I got and kind of giggle. Who'd have known that the little gadget I saw in a bar in Green Bay, Wisconsin so many months ago could convert a guy who had absolutely no desire to quit smoking?

I actually tried a pen style ecig a couple of years ago but in general it was nasty and didn't help me quit. Then I had to quit this fall and was not doing well at all. I couldn't believe how grumpy I was all of the time, just mad at the world. Got online and did some research - ordered a starter kit from SmokeTip and was immediately transformed. Since then I have purchased my batteries and cartomizers from vapor4life as they just are a little more durable, but SmokeTip got me on the right track.

I heard about e-cigarettes a few years ago but all I could find on the web was stories about how disgusting they were and they got filled with disgusting gunk that was hard to scrape out. That turned me off of the idea. I had seen mall kiosks the last couple years and being fairly cynical of a lot of the jacked-up price junk sold in mall kiosks, as well as the bs lies salesmen can tell, I was not interested. Then recently my fiance told me someone he knows was doing well on an e-cigarette from 7-11. So I searched for info, found out it was not great compared to other models, found my way here, and after doing a bunch of research here and on Youtube, I bought a PV.

A friend started raving to me about her Blu. I came home started doing research found ECF among other great sources of info and realized the Blu wasn't for me. I went with A Riva Kit and put down the analogs within 3 days after receiving it. Been analog free for 4 months and recently purchased my first vv mod.

Converted 5 days ago.
Haven't had an analog since.
42 years of non filter smoking at a rate of under 2 packs a day.
See my other post here about quitting after 42 years.
I already know I am never going back to analogs.
I have no reason to.
These are better :)
I use a KR808D-1, both manual and automatic.
Purchased from CigEasy.
They usually ship same day, and get orders in 2 days.

i kept hearing spots on the radio for e-cigs.and thought to myself they are a scam or bs. turns out they were 79.99 for a free kit and 29.00 a month for 15 carts..i laughed at the guy hung up the phone and got online. i ended up getting a e-8 from china nice small cig size pv it actually works pretty good it got me off smokes in 1.5 days, but i soon hated charging battery's every 2 hours or less. so i got a njoy pro,,not happy at all. the e-8 worked better as for as vapor and taste.so i thought its been 3 weeks and I'm not going back to the Stinky's.23 year of Stinky's mind you quit in 1.5 day REALLY. yes really.so i ordered up a ego and dealt with charging them battery's .got my ego and have been vapin my head off ever since.

"Court ordered drug class" ... I was ordered to take a few of those. Anywho, I heard about 'em. Thought they were ridiculously expensive to drop a bill for one, on top of ordering more carts. Found out it was one of those sucker deals for "free trials," and thought it was a scam. I had a homegirl who had a 510, let me try it, and I thought it was actually pretty cool. She explained that the other auto e-cig I was thinking of really was a scam, and the one she had wasn't. She and her man sold it to me cheap in August, and I've been slowly upgrading it since then. Now I'm vaping with my eGo and have been analog free since.

I'm going on 18 months now, and never going back.

But I actually do have a cigarette once in awhile, maybe every three or four months, just for kicks.
I just really enjoy the fact that I can have one, that it will suck, and that it has no power over me at all anymore.

I never would have believed that could happen.

That's my feeling, haven't tried smoking though - thought of it makes me sick :)

This is my second time around on vaping. I tried it a couple years ago with an NJoy (RN4081) and a KR8 with auto batteries. Just couldn't get the darn things to work well enough to satisfy anything. So, I went back to analogs.

Then, about a month ago I decided to quit analogs again, and revisited this site (ECF) and found out about the eGO. Have been off analogs now since Dec. 1st.

I have to admit, though, that one of the reasons I decided to try quitting analogs again was because of a news story I heard where they were going to require tobacco companies to put death pictures on cigarette packs. While I think we've all known that analogs might eventually kill us, I didn't want big gov't constantly throwing it in my face, anymore than they already have. They've loved our money, though.
