I just cleaned 2 iClear 30 tanks and replaced a coil in one, as I pulled a rookie mistake as the tip of one coil went swimming down the drain.
No biggie, as I have new ones... I thought..
I just tested out the tank( with new coil ) and it dry hits, no vap ( yes I let it sit a few to soak up the juice). At first the tank read 1.7ohm, which a few of my tanks do on my MVP
then she fired up and vaped real nice, but the taste wasn't there, yet.. Normal Ive found after cleaning and such.. So I set it aside to reassemble the newly washed out tanks and fill them up. I went to vap on this new coil tank and its a dry hit, no vap. I check the ohms and now Im reading .7ohms, odd.. took the tank off, checked it out and popped it back on, I got a 2.0ohm reading, no fire/vap.
I repeated the previous step, and now it reads 1.5ohms and still no vap. grrr, confusing.
I assembled the other tanks ( w/ old coils ) and did the same as I normally do, fill, let sit to soak up the juice, tested the ohms and fired them up.. The flavors are great, the ohms
vary from 1.5ohm - 1.7ohm.. no problems at all.
Im thinking I have a bad ( new ) coil, so im rebuilding this dead tank, well disassembling it and going to put in an older coil to see if she fires up and vaps.
[UPDATE]
Just as I thought, bad coil. I popped in the old coil that was in the tank previously and just replaced the tip of the coil ( lil rubber/silicone piece) I lost in the drain when cleaning, checked the ohm and she read 1.5ohm. Reassembled, filled and tested.. We have Vap ! good taste and decent vap cloud.
