When inhaling desert type juice do the calories count for the sweeteners?

Actually I know VG has calories (about 2/3 that of sugar of equal sweetness supposedly, doesn't seem that sweet though), and PG probably does too. But sugars have to be kept low, certainly no more than 30% of the flavoring which might be used at 6%, which would be 1.8% of the juice. Typical sweeteners are sucralose, stevia, ethyl maltol.

You're absorbing it, so it has to go through somehow?...

I think you can only absorb calories if you eat and digest the food. Things absorbed through the skin never reach the intestines so it wouldn't effect your weight. Nicotine, obviously isn't food, but it does effect us because it goes to the bloodstream, like a sweetener might. Some people get headaches from sweeteners, so it's possible they could have other effects on us. I am not a doctor, though. I just play one online.

ok strange question I know. I started smoking 14 years ago and starts training in the gym seriously about five years ago. I'm a natural bodybuilder and compete. So naturally I wanted to quit and started vaping as its much healthier. I love the desert type juices and flavors so there are food ingredients in these juices and sweeteners. Right now I'm not worried as I'm in the off season and my diet is much less strict as when I'm prepping for a show. My questions is would these ingredients affect my diet? I know it sounds silly as we are inhaling these ingredients and not ingesting them but would the sweeteners and ingredients still have an effect on the calories and my diet? Silly question I know anyone have info on this?
It definitely tweaks blood sugar. No doubt.

Yes, you can inhale calories. This has been proven quite recently actually regarding the fad that is people vaporizing and inhaling alcohol to get drunk and avoid calories. It was shown that when the alcohol was absorbed into the blood it still metabolized and delivered calories to the cells, although far less than when ingested normally. In answer to your question though, there may be some calories coming from vaping but they would be extremely minimal plus they would most likely only come from sugars in the VG as most sweeteners are artificial or a chemical that replicates sweetness to the brains receptors meaning they have 0 calories. I cant gaurentee you that VG is or isn't absorbered into the blood or metabolizes in the blood but I can gaurentee you that even if it is, it is definatley not something you need to worry about. I also bodybuild and am very strict with my macros (daily calorie breakdown) and vaping has yet to affect my body compesition.

good to know. thanks. so i guess another + to quitting analogs, whiter teeth.
Vaping does dry out your mouth though, which makes it easier for tooth decay. I know this is a fact. Its why [removed] usually have no teeth, not necessarily because they smoke [removed], but because they never feel the urge to eat or drink anything. Which routes away their teeth. So i drink plenty of fluids while vaping.[emoji6]
