dripping is not convenient near all the time, it depends a lot what you do for work to make it work. i am one of them that wont drip unless i am at home, and even then, very seldom. while i agree dripping into an atty gives you the most flavor, there are cartos out there that are very close to giving you the same thing. That's all cool guys (#42 in particular). My point is that, if you're a dripper like me, and are interested in cartos, then read the posts in this thread... looks like you're beading you head against wall. I understand why some want cartos, and respect it. Look at it from my point of vew. I'm looking for a carto that works, coming from a dripping/atty perspective... after reading this... I'll pass again. That's not to say you can't use em, or that there's no reason. But for me... it's a pass.

I had hopes that another carto would come out, so I bothered to read this thread, only to find <argh> more frustrations even before it hits the market! Dripping for me is only tiresome, but not so bad that I'd put up with cracked stuff, or burnt stuff, or or or..

<WARNING: trollish smart-.... response>

Question:

Answer:
Right before the CE4 rumors start.....

Seriously, don't you carto fans get tired of chasing the illusive "it works properly" carto? Atties all the way!

What's wrong with the CE2-rev <whatever it is now>? Why do they even need a CE3? I should have started a carto business... just come up with a minor rev every 3 months, create marketing hype, sell a bunch, repeat.

Seriously.... What the heck carto do I order that doesn't taste like crap (even when wet). The clear-o-mizer thingamajigs almost got me... but I refrained. MAP tank looks interesting, but it's a modded clear-o, so.... IDK. I'll still stick to atties, and drip, until someone (actually a whole group of someones) report back and tell us that they have a the perfect tank atty/carto. If the CE4 is it, please report back.

Sorry, but after reading through the responses, I'll just keep dripping until a decent solution is found.

To be honest, the last 2 ce2's (the r4 with the bow tie wick, and the r5ish with the fat wick) are both awesome at 2.6-2.8ohm. I use the 2.8's in storm tanks, clearos, and steel tubed Ce2's and I very rarely get a gurgle or a leak. I did notice that citrus cracks tubes, and I heard that cinnamon destroys the tubes, not sure what else does it.

I'm on my very last ce2 clearomizer (r4) from when I originally bought them in Feb, and it's not dead. I'm just going to clean it out and put it in the "spare" box. I clean my ce2's about once a week, and they last forever and only get better with age. I have no need for a ce3, ce4, or ce242,180,999.

HOWEVER, I will try any "new" carto at least once. So if they make a vortex in 510, or a ce3. I will try them once to see what happens.

I doubt you're ever going to find any carto-users' comments/reviews that are going to apply in any significant way to your needs and/or wants as a dripper.

From my perspective, dripping is dangerously messy, you only get one or two hits before having to fool with it, you have to carry far more than just your PV, and you always have to be careful you get everything exactly right or you'll either flood or burn your atty or screw up your battery. I can't think of any carto that comes close to that experience.

Dripping and cartos are so very different I can't even think of a funny analogy, and for me, that's really saying something!

Good luck with your search, but I thing you're going to have to wait until someone says: "I was a dripper, but there cartos converted me."

:)

I agree with this - I've been vaping since mid-February this year and I'm still using the 'old skool' cartos - not the ce2, so I don't know what they're called - ce1 maybe? The ones with the batting and crap in them. I have gotten a few bad ones - poor vapour, don't last long, etc.
One of these days... I believe someone will come out with a really good high-quality carto. ce10 maybe? How many 'revisions' and 'new' ce#s are we going to have before they get it right with a good product???
Well, I'm not buying into every new 'ce' edition carto - a cat can go broke doing this...
JMHO, folks!

I have been using CE2s for a while now, they are actually my favorite. I have never had an issue with leakage, breakage or bad flavor.

They do occasionally fall behind on wicking for me, but I find that if I just roll my ecig every now and then when vaping hard it takes care of the issue.

Right now I am trying out the Ego T tank and finding that I have far more issues with it wicking properly than my CE2s

I have doubts the CE3 will be great. I mean they took many months to revise the CE2 and it still leaks, difficult to refill, amongst other problems.. and the clearomizer is still the same fragile plastic. The plastic used in the G4 seems twice as strong, yet it is the same thickness. Plus they don't leak unless you don't insert the mouthpiece in sufficiently.

My money is on the G4 at the moment. Imo all they need to do is lower the ohms from 4.0ohm to say 3.2ohm.

I think the bottom coils are a good idea but have not found any with 510 threads.
