When it comes to dessert type flavors, which company is known to have the best?

I am still very new to diy, and usually make fruity type flavors. Over the weekend my friend let me try some of his stuff that he got from a place called Steamjuice. I think there were 2 flavors called "jerrys juice'" and cococream". They were the first dessert type flavors I have ever tried and I thought they were very good.

Now I would like to try to mix some dessert type flavors. I normally order my fruit flavors (TFA) from wizardlabs in small bottles to test, but does TFA make good dessert flavors? I see that they offer flavors like sugar cookie, vanilla custard, sweet cream, graham cracker, etc. Should I stick with TFA when it comes to these flavors, or are there better desseert flavors out there?

Thanks

You wouldn't get a clear winner if you asked for votes on 'Who makes the best cake', let alone such a broad category as desserts in general. If you are DIYing your own dessert flavors, most will include more than a single flavoring. In fact, each flavoring you use in a single recipes might be from a different manufacturer.

So if you narrow it down a bit, you might get more replies (and they won't all agree with each other). Or it might be easier to look around in the Recipes subforum, see what sounds good to you, and try some of those.

I agree with HeadInCLouds. Everything is subject to what YOUR tastes are. I am more into the dessert vapes too. Most of my flavors are TFA flavors from Wizard Labs simply because that was my first big order jumping into DIY. I have since broadened and found better flavors elsewhere, but there is nothing wrong with TFA.

If you really want to get into dessert vapes there are several "must haves" that **I would say** to keep on hand at all times. Vanilla custard, vanilla swirl, toasted marshmallow, dulche de leche, whipped cream, butter, caramel, cream, etc etc. Just play with different blends, try mixing in some of your preferred fruits and different vanillas.

Now that last paragraph is again what **I would say**, your tastes may be completely opposite of mine. Just offering some ideas. A perfect example, my fiance wanted me to make her a strawberry coloda, so I did. To me, it was spot-on a strawberry coloda from a swim-up bar on a tropical island. Others at work thought the same. She HATED it.... go figure. I modified it a bit, and found the "perfect blend" for what she was wanting... to me it was ruined and tasted horrible. Again, all is subject to your taste!

Happy mixing and happy vaping!! :vapor:

thanks for the advice. I also buy from wizardlabs because they offer smaller bottles and I wouldn't be stuck with a large bottle of a flavor that I do not like.

I was planning to pick up a vanilla custard, sugar cookie, toasted marshmallow, apple pie, and a graham cracker.

What does dulche leche taste like?

Wizardlabs offers TFA and lorann flavors. Out of TFA and lorans, which is the better vanilla custard?

Which company is kind of tricky. Most have some very good and a few nasty or not so good flavors.

Then you have the ability factor. Some of us could not pour liquid out of a boot with instructions on the heal, like me. So getting some of the more complicated combinations can become taunting.

One company may make a (ready to go) flavor that just plain works at X% while another may make the same Flavor X in a high concentrate and you have to decode what works.

Never discount a Flavor or a manufacturer just because someone else may not prefer them. Your taste are yours alone.

That said, I have successful mixes using TFA, Capella and VZ super concentrates to this point.

This one in reference is actually both (combined).

The other one is Graham Cracker Clear.

I love this flavor....the only tricky thing about it is that if you order Graham Cracker on its own (clear or dark) you still don't get that flavor note that the Cheesecake w/ graham cracker has :(

True, and I prefer the latter also, but I still sometimes use Graham Cracker Clear with Cap NY Cheesecake.

every manufacturer has something great to offer. it all depends on what you are going for to. do you want candy taste in this apple recipe or real or mix of both, sometimes you have to do that to. mix one brand with another to get the taste you want. do you want this cheesecake to taste freshly homemade or frozen store bought pies. I was working on a cherry pie recipe one time. totally ruined it for making it taste real but tasted just like a gas station hostess cherry pie lol. I like bakery and fruits. I have favorites but I use plenty of every flavor. the frustrating part it going through all the flavors one at a time and deciding where they would work best. I know this is not the answer you wanted lol. :vapor:
