I usually clean and rewick or change my coil when i notice the vapor starting to get thin or the flavor starts tasting off, also when changing flavors. What kind of topper do you have on it? Some folks soak their coils in alcohol overnight, I usually just take mine apart and run them under hot water and let them dry in a paper towel, then pull out the wick and dry burn and rewick.

Cleaning and or rebuilding coils is a PITA. Last purchased 30 coils at fasttech for my wife and myself at about $0.86 each including shipping and received my order 7 days after ordering. Usual B&M pricing in this area is $2.00 to $2.50 each.

Certainly I wouldn't expect everyone to agree with my method, but I don't have to mess with wicking, kanthal or cotton and any other stuff.

I didn't roll my own cigarettes when I smoked either.
