Not sure what MC does to check.. but as WomanOfHeart said vapor will fall off first, then turn nasty burnt tasting. I pull the cart off the atty and look to see if it is dry, if so I use a toothpick to probe the filler material sometimes the filler is spent and not wicking well and there will be alot juice in the cart, just not getting to the top, and other times it will be low on juice and need to be refilled. It should look moist, almost slushie looking...kinda hard to explain but I hope you get the idea.
Well, I am currently using a drip tip so I don't have a cart to mess with! I did go ahead and put another drop of another flavor in because the first flavor was really harsh on my throat (RY4)! And also I guess I wasn't too fond of the flavor anyway, it got kind of sickening sweet after awhile. Anyway, I added some regular tobacco and that totally helped I think. But now I'm wondering if the RY4 taste will ever go away since there are surely still some remnants of it left in the atty? I can definitely still taste it but at least it's not as strong.
Yes - when the vapor get lighter or tastes a bit dry, add more juice. You don't want to get to the point of singeing something, especially not the wick of an atty. And when you top off a cart with juice, make sure the stuffing looks positioned right. And when the white stuffing gets cranky and old consider switching the stuffing to blue foam. You can get precut blue foam for 510 carts at strictlyejuice.com really cheap. You can also cut those down for smaller carts. For bulk at 10x the cost buy Marineland Rite-Size U Foam Sleeve at Petsmart in the aquarium dept.
With a cartomizer you can first try tipping the ecig carto-down for 5 seconds to see if redistributing the liquid helps. If that doesn't help then it needs more fluid.
