Several variables can affect the answer to this. Can they be cleaned, such a tanks atty/wick, or dry burned to remove residue? The juice, some is just rough on coils & packing. I have the original E2 still in a MAP tank after 6 months of use, it's been cleaned a couple dozen times. Most of the Boge cartos I use are tossed after 15-20 days, some less; some more.

Bottom line - - - I toss 'em when they taste bad or just don't vape like they should.

I'm getting a consistent 10-12 days out of a Boge Carto .. I use lighter colored liquid and it's a 80/20 PG/VG so not really thick .. for the price of 15 for $20.00 or $1.33 each .. and at least 10 days use, it's hardly worth cleaning, although I have a stash of used ones I might try cleaning some day .. when they get a little funky taste, I fill a new one ..

My total monthly cost now that I've learned the ropes and settled in is around $20.00 a month .. as opposed to $150.00 a month on the analogs ..

There is a great way to find info like this. At the top of this page is a "Search ECF with Google" box. Type in
"cleaning cartos" or whatever info you're looking for and it will give you all threads where this is discussed. You will find lots of info faster by using the search tool. Great question though, yes clean them, save money, be green. I use the rinse, blow, soak, rinse, blow, dry in oven 1 hr. at 200 degrees or find a sunny place to let them get totally dry.

I agree..it depends on the juice you're vaping. I have a coffee flavored juice that just gunks up a carto in like 4 times refilling. Most of my other lighter juices last for quite a while.

Basically when it gets hard to draw on...I put it in a container and when I get enough (I've got about 20 now) I'll clean them and see if they are back to normal...if not, oh well..they'll get pitched.

it all depends on what you are using and how you care for it. I use e2 and 1 will last nearly 6 mo on average. I clean and dry burn them at least once a week. I typically don't have to toss them from flavor issues only that the coil finally pops. ones that use filler tend to last less time bc they just start tasting funky from the build up on the coil and flavors that just won't come out of the filler. there is still some cleaning methods you could use though that may help prolong the life.
