When you top off your carto, do you remove it from your device?

I seem have more questions now than when I first started vaping. The title says it all. I have an eGo, and I use cartomizers, not carts. When you top it off by adding a few extra drips, do you unscrew the cone and carto, or just remove the cap and drop it in?

I've been just dropping it in. Sometimes when I change cartos to a different flavor, I notice a tiny bit of juice sitting on top of the batt. I just wipe it up with a Q tip. There's no change in performance. Thank heaven for closed batts! Is this okay? It seems like such a hassle to have to unscrew everything all the time.

I do. I just pop off my drip tip, drop a few drops in, replace the drip tip and keep a goin. I hardly ever over fill anymore, but I used to when I was first starting out. If I overfilled, I just removed the carto, wipe the threads and battery, blew out the extra, put it back together and kept a goin.

Roland says always remove. I never have any trouble though. Im am only adding 5 or 6 drops at a time though and thats after I have been using the carto.

Roland, for what reason do you always remove your carto to top off? I agree for a new fill on a blank carto, but what kind of damage can happen?

Cartos are never "empty" after that first fill. You will never put the same amount in again, so instead of worrying about extra liquid gathering in the battery compartment (and potentially creating contact issues), I just unscrew it, and fill on a napkin. Plus I like to give my cartos a 5 min settling time before I vape again.

Also, I use Go-Go 3ml cartos, and Leo 4ml cartos, so I only have to fill once every 2 or 3 days. Lol, I spend more time here talking about e-cigs than messing with them!

Bottom coil Cartomizers are the best advance in e-cig technology.
