I hate to pay more in shipping than the battery actually will cost me. Can you tell me where I can get a ULTRAFIRE 10440 AAA LI-ION 3.6V RECHARGEABLE BATTERY 500 MAH FLAT TOP CR10440 LITHIUM ION? I tried Radio Shack in Kansas City, Mo but they didnt have one. Also, what to do about charging the batteries? Can you tell me, once I find the battery, what do I use to charge them? I dont know if I will be able to build the charger that scubabatdan showed. I will be doing good if I can make his solitare mag lite mod!

you plainly won't find a source locally unless you've got someone like me, who just likes to keep spare stuff around and will sell it to you if you live close to me. Now I can't speak for anyone else, but that's just not something that most stores are going to keep in stock. Hell even the specific "battery" stores won't sell lithium ion batteries. I guess it's just cause there's no money in a rechargable battery that is superior in every way to ni-cad and ni-mh. I will NEVER buy anything but Li-ion batteries ever again.

I personally get mine from ebay. 2 batteries and a charger for usually around $15 or so. Now, I donno why your going with 10440 instead of 14500, but I'd recommend that you go with the larger capacity 14500's instead of the 10440's.

this is the guy I get my stuff from. He does have chargers for these as well in the form of 14500 chargers.

I am working on a Solitare Mag Lite mod and that was what I was told to get. What I am looking for, is longer battery life before needing to be recharged. I will be putting a 510 connector on it. Can I use a 14500 battery on that? Let me give you the link to the post from which I am making this. This is also my first mod attempt. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...re-worries-batt-connectors-15.html#post664701

No you won't be able to use a 14500 on the mini maglite. A 14500 is the same size as a AA, while a 10440 is the size of a AAA.
