Thanks for the explanation. I just couldn't understand why anyone would want to use a 2.6 ohm viva nova with a Kgo @ 3.7 volts. Do they come just in 1.8 ohm or do you have to buy the whole set of different ohms? Cuz I don't need anything above 2.0 ohms. No need for me.

yea the vivi nova comes with 3 heads. 1.8ohm 2.4ohm 2.8ohm. I only use 1.8-2.4ohm .. 2.4 being my fave atm on lavatube. i liked 1.8ohm on my ego also.

BTW, gotvapes's labor day sale includes the vivi nova. They're like $10.

I'm debating whether to order 3 or 4 of them tomorrow. I really like these things.

I also broke my mini today. I dropped my twist (with the mini on it) from a little above waist height and it landed on the tank portion. I'm glad that my twist didn't snap the button portion off, so it's good in that respect……but IMHO the minis really are built worse than the full size. FWIW, it still fired and vaped, the tank just wasn't straight on anymore and I didn't want to take the chance of it causing a battery failure (despite short circuit protection) or leaking.

I got some 801 fusions in yesterday and I am no where near as positive on them as I am on the vivi nova. They were the boge variety, not the ikenvape variety……and apparently they're somehow different. But I think I'm done with cartos. If you get the voltage/resistance right, I think they're a great vape.

I wasn't too impressed with mine (2.5version) when I first got it. The first head started tasting crappy with my warm sugar cookie juice after a couple days. The second head fared better. I learned to turn the voltage down and my third head, the 2.9, was great. Since then I ordered some premade coils from avidvapor and installed my first coil. The first day, or first few hours, I didn't get much flavor. I was disappointed but thrilled that I was able to install a coil LOL. Now, 3 or 4 days later, the flavor is really shining!

I'm thinking of ordering the premade coils too. How long are they lasting you?

I also love the Vivi Nova and I prefer the larger tank.

FWIW, the full size one is poorly made as well.
mine rolled off my desk last night onto carpet (About 3ft) and broke everywhere

I think I've dropped mine 3 or 10 times :)p) on carpet and not had a single problem. I have a bad habit of setting my box mod down on my leg while typing and dropping it.

I'd encourage everyone to check out the variety of tanks out there. But... I'm sorry.. breaking on carpet doesn't seem to be a major failing of this full sized tank IMO. Sorry for your bad luck iamtumus. Gotta be a fluke. Or it hit something on the way, or was already cracked. That's pretty thick plastic for the full sized tank.

I'm not picking on you or even critizing, but... wow. I've dropped mine so many times. OK. I'll be fair. Let's see if anyone else has had them break like that.

Sheesh, I got my very first Mini Nova coming today (in fact, just minutes away). To listen to some of these posters, I made a mistake! But I have a Twist so I'm not locked in on a voltage. I'll start out with the 2.4ohm head and the others later. Not sure it makes a dramatic difference with the VV.

With a Twist I always use either a 2.4 or 2.8 Ω head. The 1.8's don't seem to perform well for me. I use only 2.8Ω on my vmax.

Sounds like bad luck. I spent all weekend with mine on me basically 24/7, chain vaping, charging off a portable charger, banging around in a bag……with me somewhere between drunk and hammered for a lot of it……dropped everything more than once.

The eventual fallout: One of my heads died. It stopped working all at once and wouldn't fire. Replaced the head, rinse + dry burn, and it's good as new.

With a Twist I always use either a 2.4 or 2.8 Ω head. The 1.8's don't seem to perform well for me.

What isn't performing about it for you? I'm just curious because I only use the 1.8s on my Twists.

the mini seems to work better chain vaping. I find myself tipping a lot with the long wicks as the tank gets low on a regular nova. Im not sure if its the mini's small and slim tank size that provides the coil enough juice.

Also i think the mini vivi nova should be packaged with the 2 extra heads. Im surprised more people never commented as these tanks dont with instructions

They seemed straightforward enough to me, but I watch a lot of videos and read more than I post (which is a lot).

And IDK about the long wicks. I trim & fluff all of my long wicks putting them in……I tried 1 long-wick head and it didn't perform any differently than my first short-wick head………then I realized that I was still tilting & twisting. I like playing with the fluid. It's pretty. And something else to do with my hands when I'm not actually drawing.

hey, i have a mini vivi nova and I tried the 2.4 ohms & 1.8 ohm head on a 3.7V regulated battery & I didn't notice any change in performance except that the flavor didn't seem as strong on the 1.8ohm one. did any of you guys notice a big difference between the two resistances? also, is it normal to have a drop in flavor with a lower resistance? i thought the opposite was supposed to happen lol

I just bought two vivi nova tanks along with an ego style 1300 mah battery (was told it must be used at 1.8 ohms or higher attys/cartos). Sometimes it works with the 1.8 ohm vivi nova and sometimes it doesn't. The blue light will flash. So the I tried the 2.4 ohm atty with my KGO and it also didn't work. The KGO always works well with the 1.8 ohm atty.

I need help as to what going on? Is it the battery or the atty? Is something defective or is it something I'm doing?

You are not doing anything wrong, for some reason the 510 connectors on the VIVi Novas are all a bit different lengths. What I do is pull the center pin on my KGO and then it get a good connection and it fires up with no problems. Sometimes after using my Vivi and go to a standard 510 device they dont make contact and I just do the same.
BTW I use KGO batteries and a Saber Touch and I prefer the 2.4 ohm head better than the 1.8. I like a cooler vape and the 1.8 just heats things up too much for me. I get great taste and great vapour production. I also modified my vent holes near the 510 connection with a dremel making the holes about twice the size and I also took the little metal pin out from the bottom of my head and made the little hole a tad larger and I get a great draw now.
I have 3 Vivi Novas so I played with them after reading a few threads regarding making the Vivi better. Just be careful when modifying anything because as we all know, you can screw things up if not careful. I really love this thing.
