Hi everyone, brand new vaper in japan here.
i posted the info below in the new members forum but i really wanted to post it here for you guys. alot of the info i got was from this little corner of ecf, but i had to get past my 5 post minimum first.
since i did that today here you go:
being in Japan i've been lurking in the Japan forum alot and I wanted to post a bit of info that i thought would help those of us in Japan,... but of course i have to post 5 times before i can post elsewhere so,...
i got my Ego CE4 from Yahoo Auctions which is Japan's equivalent of Ebay,.. i'm sure you guys that have been here for a while have heard of it.
there are a couple of vendors that do both the hardware and the juice, so i got me the CE4 and two 10mls of tobacco flavored juice.
the juice is said to have nicotine in it,....but there's no label on the bottle saying how much nicotine. actually it looks like someone either DIYed the juice or bought a load and split it into smaller vials and stuck a label saying tobacco on it. i'll have to find out from the guy.
there are others who sell flavoured juices with no nicotine on there as well.
now i'm a complete noob so this tobacco flavor is the first thing i've tried. doesnt taste liek any cigarette i've ever had but i also dont feel like i'm smoking a cigarette substitute,.... jsut feels like i'm smoking a different flavor of tobacco. i used to smoke quite a bit of sheesha/hookah in the past and even after that i'd feel like having a ciggie. this particular flavor just tastes like a different kind of ciggie.
of course,.. i have nothing else to compare to so this could be the absolutest ....tiest juice ever, i wouldnt know
anyway, i know alot of you order form overseas, so i figured that if you ever get caught short in an emergency, you could give yahoo auctions a try.
one particular vendor has bottles that look like they come from overseas and they probably do, but i do believe they are non-nicotine flavors.
i'm not too familiar with prices of juice yet,... but it seems a bit pricey here,.. Y200-1,000 for 10ml. the tobacco with nicotine cost me 1,000.
if you want to have a search, you need to do it in japanese, obviously,...

delivery was japan post quick, 48 hours, ( i'm a cheap ....... though so you could probably get 24 hours here) , the dude i bought from was real nice and shipped well fast. unfortunately, yahoo auctions is a subscription service so one of your japanese friends might have an account. if anyone needs help, then feel free to ask and i'll try my best to help.
i'm tempted to look into DIYing here,... not that i would know how to get ahold of any of the stuff let alone nicotine.... but i think it might not be too difficult.
well that's all i've got to contribute so far,... thank you all for helping me with what is looking to be a life changing decision, for the better
just to add,.. i've ordered a bunch of flavors from one particular vendor on yahoo auctions,... 13 different flavors, 10ml each, non-nicotine, worked out to 150yen each. it looks like it was produced by a chinese manufacturer in Xixian. should get here in a couple of days, unless obon gets in the way.
