I have a couple buddies in the Tank Platoon that's slated for the 15th. One of the few bad things about promotions in my field is that you can kiss any chances if getting on a MEU goodbye after E-5. I always wanted to go, but those days are long gone.

Beale AFB in northern California. Just PCS'd from Robins AFB, GA. Flew on the JSTARS about 7 years and jumped ship for the MC-12 Liberty. Heading out to the 'stan in about three weeks.
