Hello Everyone,
I would like to write an editorial insert for E-Cigs,,,,PVs,,,in the local paper (Cincinnati/Northern Kentucy) to help spread the word,,, I am articulate and also "semi-intelligent" not to mention "semi-human" to be able to do this with or with-out any help from any one....Just thought that with the vast experience within these walls, that I could come up with a simple 200 word editorial piece, that can explain how great the vaping world, truely is....What I am asking for is,,,1. Did anyone already submitted to the U.S. papers any articles that I could use? 2. How old where the articles.... 3. Why did you submit them in the first place...
I know that the tide is neutral right now towards PVs, but wait till we are stronger and larger in numbers...That,,,,My Love,,,will change...
I like to just get the "word-out" and let the masses decide...
Again, I will be doing this with or without anyone's advise/contribution...
Have a Great Day, and of course,,,,Enjoy...
PaulCincy,,,,

P.S. Sorry for the double dip...I am just wanting to know what would you think is the most important aspect to vaping in less then 200 words...that is the problem...because, for me,,,it would take a lot more than the 200 words allowed with my newspaper...
Again, Thanks for any suggestions...good, bad,,,or whatever...Enjoy, PaulCincy..

Here and back
PaulCincy, I hope you do come up with a good editorial. I have so many people ask me questions, it would be great to just hand them an easy to read article.

Important items I think:

The benefits of e cigs vs regular.
The ingredients in e liquid to ease some minds.
Advice on how to research a good beginner kit (perhaps reference ECF?).
How the ingredients in e cigs are already approved by the FDA
Explain the mechanical workings of the basic e cig

I hope I'm not too late to help.
One thing that grates on me more than anything else.

"Not FDA approved" does not mean unsafe!
(Not meaning YOU by "you" I mean general public")
That one-a-day vitamin you take every day is not FDA approved.
Neither is that Red Bull you drink 4 of a day.
Neither is that fish oil pill that is so good for your heart.
Neither is the Starbucks you are addicted to.

I hope that helps ~ P

Think it be interesting to include some of the polls/statics
Like 82% totally quit "analogs" (dont use that word btw) http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/polls/6470-e-cig-success-rate.html
that 45% quit the same day their e-cig came...and 94% of those who quit did so within three months. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/polls/80124-how-long-did-take-you-stop-smoking.html
that 99% of e-cig users were smokers before hand, that 92% are over 26 years old..that 91% have experience health improvements since starting. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...please-follow-instructions-before-taking.html

Polls on this site regarding effectiveness are not statistically relevant for journalistic purposes. As a forum specifically catering to users of electronic cigarettes, the population here is skewed significantly in favor of people who have been successful with replacing tobacco products with electronic alternatives. It would be like saying that 99% of all people think the backstreet boys were the greatest musicians of all time, based solely on a poll posted on a backstreet boys fan site. If you can find some numbers from an independent and properly random poll, then those numbers should be acceptable for use.

An editorial touting "unfounded" (yes, I know not really, but to the FDA) health claims could result in litigation. I'd be careful when you choose your words, and simply state what is known to be 100% fact.

Using statements such as: "In theory," will help you to make said claims without inheriting the liability for those claims. You can also tout testimonials from individuals about their experiences with the product (increased energy, no cough) without actually making an absolute claim about the product.

Stay in the gray to avoid falling into the red :D

Good luck!

Yes, and was going to state mostly my own experience and observations with some well chosen words concerning the FDA, ALA, etc....and of course lawmakers....See you all in court....This should be interesting....Been working on it on and off for two days,,,,But, as I stated....200 words is hardly anything,,,that's the hard part....
Enjoy, PaulCincy...

the ideas posted previously are great.

One more integral part of PV vaping is the wonderful support of the vaping community. Most of us could NOT have learned what we have or gotten through the rough times without the support/advice of our community here at ECF.

I cannot think of any other product for which I have received the same support.
