Thanks for this info. I did not know that e-ciggies sold ss mesh, wire and silica wicks.
Pity I ordered from England yesterday before seeing these posts. Costing me more for less.

Eciggies calls their wicks glassfibre... does anyone know if that is the same as silica.

Seems from this Forum that it is close to silica, but not exactly the same - constructed differently. There are some health concerns about the glassfibre/fibreglass wicks. Also, apparently they melt at a lower temperature than silica.
