Sounds like "vapors tongue". Very common. Drink lots of fluids when you vape will help. You can read about it here :

Search Results for Query: vapors tongue | E-Cigarette Forum

In mixing 2 different flavors from premixed store bought juice it will sometimes work, but you can also end up with horrible tasting ejuice. If it does work, and you find the "nirvana of juice flavor" from doing it, it will be difficult to duplicate for the future.

flavor didnt go anywhere... your body shut down due to excessive exposure to a constant stimulus... works on both smell and taste... ever wonder why people who work at a sewer plant dont gag all the time?? they cant smell it any more as well as someone who doesnt work there

Using the search linked in the above post will help you find lots of suggestions for how to get rid of vapers tongue - maybe something will work, but sometimes it just takes time.

Probably the most important suggestion is make sure you're drinking enough water. I will sometimes let the water sit on my tongue for a minute before swallowing - giving my tongue a "soak". No idea whether it actually helps but I figure it's worth a try LOL.

I mean I literally just woke up and took my first toke of the day and the flavor was even dull. It's a tootsie roll flavor so it's kind of subtle anyway. I definitely keep up with my water. I'll try chewing some minty gum to clean my palate up and will take others suggestions as well. Thanks, as always everyone. I love this forum lol

Might be your coil is getting gunked up. Happens. You don't say what topper you use, or how many mls have been vaped on the coil, but over time - it varies, depending on the flavor and your style of vaping - there will be a buildup on the coil, which can cause the flavor and vapor to diminish. A new coil (or clean and dry burn) would be the answer if that's the case.

Mixing flavors will have, uh, mixed results. Some blend nicely, some don't. And since each is "diluted" with another flavor, muted flavor could be a result.

David you bring up a great point. I wrote this post on my way out the door and failed to provide adequate details. I apologize for this. I'm using a nautilus mini tank with the aspire 1.8 ohm atty

To do a dry run would I just enjoy the tank and fire the Vape up until I get a dry hit?

On my Mini's when a coil gets gunked I replace it. Be certain to prime the wick (I cover the air holes and take a few unpowered draws) then let it sit for a bit (5 min). The first draw after changing the coil should be a small to medium one. If you don't get a dry hit you're good to go.

I also take the old coil and throw it into a jar of vodka for a week, jiggling it a few times a day. After a week I remove it and blow the moisture out. Then I let it air dry for at least a day. It won't be like new but you'll get a lot more mileage out of it.

Does the jar have to be sealed? How long does it extend the life of theatty? Another week or two? Thanks for the advice

And a classic example of this is after you quit smoking, in time the smell of tobacco is horrid whereas while smoking you hardly notice the stench. Taste works in the same manner.

Yea I remember that. I haven't been a smoker for about 6 years now, but I remember how amazing it was to be able to taste things again. The real flavor!

Not sure about dry burning that head, as I don't use them. If it's a silica wick, there's probably a way. If cotton, don't dry burn, or the wick will go away.

There are elements of vapeland that are disposable, and some heads fall there. One reason many of us use rebuildables. Realistically, most clearo heads are inexpensive enough to use until unuseable, then toss and replace. The various cleaning methods may extend that some. And there's probably info here on ECF and Utube on rebuilding the ones you have, if you want to go that route.
