Where do you build coils?

I build in a spare bedroom. I too learned the hard way to police up the kanthal bits. I got 1/4-28ga straight into my foot. I didn't know what it was a the time. I just left it there, but two weeks later, the area was all swollen and I couldn't walk on the foot any longer. The wife dug it out and it was Kanthal. I'm careful with the little cut bits now!

I do them at my computer desk.

Same here.....all my goodies are on the first shelf above the monitor.

Ironic that this thread was started because just last night I found a piece of kanthal with my foot....not bad for 2.5 months of micro coil adventures.

My 6 month old kitten is a future coil builder...she likes to root around on the shelf..lol...I think she just has a Q-Tip fetish and the coiling supplies just get in her way

Bathroom counter. We have a tile floor in there, so at least wire bits lay down flat and don't get wedged vertically into a carpet.

I do my building on a large counter/bar between my living room and kitchen. Three overhead lights can be turned on to give me all the light I need. It's also where I do my e-juice mixing.

Mine was a twisted 4x 23 gauge. There was no leaving that bad boy in there lol
