So I'm waiting for some aiv, mtbaker, and high desert juices and I've come to realize that I'm not liking any of the flavors that I currently have anymore! I've got some hhv, vapedudes, gourmet vapor, ave, vermillion river, halo, etc juices. I haven't found my goto juice yet either. im just not getting the great taste from vaping anymore. I use carto tanks exclusively. I hope the new vapemail will bring my tastebuds back..

Atlexus, I feel your pain! The thing is that I do think I have good juices and a good battery. The heating element, I'm convinced, is the weak link; and I've been scouring the forum trying to find something that will actually deliver the flavors that these lauded vendors have created. The much-loved vivi novas mute flavors more than anything else. I have an IBtanked tank that I had high hopes for, but I'm still quite disappointed about the flavor that comes through from any of my juices. Any new suggestions would be fantastic!

The real question is not "where they went" it's "are they back".

I don't know how long you have been vaping but going off your join date I would say that your taste buds are returning. Analogs kill your sense of taste and smell. Staying off them and vaping instead will allow the senses to heal. What the problem may be is that your taste buds are returning and that which tasted bad may now good and vice-versa. Unfortunately this is something every vaper will go through.

And that's how drippers are born lol. Give dripping on a good ol 510, 306, or 901 a try for a couple weeks if you haven't yet.

actually I forgot to mention I have an hh357 that I drip with and it lasted a few months but just recently when I tried my vapedudes juices I got this perfumey chemical taste that stuck. I blow out the juiceand it goes away sometimes but it keeps returning and I don't taste the flavor I'm trying at all. I used to get great flavor and clouds but now that only happens with my cartomizers I'm ordering the 5 pack of joyetech attys for 10$ that I saw on vapor Joe tomorrow so hopefully those work. I used to get amazing flavor but now everything just tastes bland :(

what pv are you using? So far I've got a mini lava tube, itaste MVP, tesla, evic, and my old reliable egos. For some reason my MVP works better with my tanks then my other mods. Also I use standard resistance carts around 5 + - volts. I think my taste buds are just muted again I've been past the initial analog flavor muting phase

Dripper attys and Smoktech DCT carto tanks have been the pinnacle for taste to me. The Vivi Nova is currently a step above cartos, but not quite equal to the Smoktech DCT or a 306 atty, imo.

That said, the ecig is still much better tasting than the tobacco cigarettes we gave up in favor of vaping. The way I finally laid down the stinkies was by comparing the two side by side. I did that when I had the after meal cigarettes I hung onto for a while after I started vaping. Vaping won out and let me give up tobacco completely. I'm still looking for the uiltimate juice and atomizer combo after almost three years.

It does take quite a while to fully recover your taste and sense of smell after quitting tobacco.

Actually, I love my Vamo, and I don't blame it. What were you happiest with before your tastebuds went kaput again? Mine have just always been duds; and I've been at this on and off for two and a half years. But back to you, I've read of a few folks here having happy results vaping flavorless for two or three weeks and then returning to their flavored juices. Good luck to you, Atlexus!

I enjoyed my hhv purity flavors, venkman on ice from vd, and the wintermelon from ttteliquids and on occasion any of the other flavors I had. I used to like citrus flavors but then I liked sweeter ones. I've found peach is good to eat but I don't enjoy vaping it. As well as coffee or chocolate and most desserts I've tried. Where's a good place to get some flavor less liquid? That sounds like a great idea to try!

The unflavored nic base from myfreedomsmoke is my go to "palate-refresher" of sorts. And unlike a number of vendors, they mark the price way down from what they charge for the flavored juices. I also recommend trying a sample of their DK-Tab, but then again, you didn't mention any sweet tobaccos amongst your faves. Hate to keep bugging you, Atlexus, but I meant more what heating element were you using when those flavors were shining for you? I feel like that, and not the juices themselves, are the part of the equation that is lacking for me. Keep us posted when your buds come back!

Definalty water! I have been vaping for a while and Im bad about not drinking a lot on water on the weekends and I will lose the taste very quick. Now I try to have a glass of ice water beside me at all times. What happens too is sometimes you get like a residue buildup in your mouth. I use a peroxide mouth rinse everyday and this will keep it clean plus it whitens your teeth too.

I've noticed 3 things:

1. As my smoking went down and my vaping went up, things that used to taste great (like 555) suddenly taste way too perfumy, so I had to change flavors.

2. When I get the "vaping doldrums", i.e. tongue-fatigue, it helps if the juice I switch to hits the tongue in totally different places than my usual. So, I go from tobacco to fruit. It's kind-of the same as taking a vacation from vaping but it's only for 1/2 of my tongue at any given time.

3. Nova heads I have rebuilt with cheesecloth taste much much better for much much longer per head than the originals. It takes me about 1/2 hour per head, because I'm just starting and I'm really slow. (I do vape the originals before rebuilding, 'cause I'm too lazy not to make use of the short period where they taste OK.) Note: as you'll see from videos, you have to burn the wire before building the coil, the heads I did without that step tasted bitter for 2 days!)

Berylanna, there is no way in the world I'm going to do any of that cheesecloth business, but you've now entered my vaping Hall of Heroes for doing all that, yourself!! Big props to you!

 But it's SO easy! Just start by putting your W2 in front of you and thinking about downloading tax software. Next thing you know, rebuilding Nova heads seems desirable and easy!
