I used to get 2xAA and 3xAA boxes at R.S. It's not a project box, it's a battery box.

The 2x is for a single-battery 3.7 mod. 3x is for a regulated mod. Get the larger 3 amp button for the 3.7 2x box......

You'll need to scrounge a connector off an old battery. And of course, wire, solder, iron, and epoxy. LED and resistor optional. See modder's section.

Radio Shack, as stated before. Last time I looked at those, the 2XAA box did not have an on off switch (it has been a couple of years). Madvapes has a lot of boxes at great prices, but they are very light and are subject to cracking at the battery thread after a few months of use. I still use them myself and it is really easy to make the mod again when they do break. You can't go wrong by picking up several horn switches from MV though. They are great and cheap. The best box I ever used was from this tutorial http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/18409-how-build-nicostick.html . The box referenced is Battery holder: 2 x AA Covered Battery Holder with On-Off Switch - RoHS Compliant . Those boxes are tough, have a switch, and I have never had one fail in use. I still go back to them and replace switches and other parts once in a while. I started using madvapes boxes because it was convenient since I am always ordering other stuff from him.

EDIT:::: Sorry. I didn't see that you said TODAY.
