I think I've decided to upgrade from my current EGo setup to an iTaste SVD, but I'm not sure where the best place to pick one up would be. I'm trying to avoid international shipping issues and get a fairly quick ship, so I'm not sure if fasttech is the best choice. I'm planning on getting the batteries and charger from RTD Vapor. The best price I've found so far (that's not fasttech) is from Element Vape (https://www.elementvape.com/), but I can't seem to find any reviews for the place here. Has anyone ordered from Element before, or have any other recommendations for me?

Edit: Element seems to be out of stock at the moment... :p

Are you looking for the whole set or just the mod set?
I got the whole set off Fasttech, hard to bet that price.
Was looking for the starter set; gonna give the iClear 30s a try. How long did you have to wait for Fasttech? Are there any ordering caveats I need to know for them?

my personal suggestion would be to get a paypal account, get verified and watch the classifieds, i was browsing the for sale... wasn't having much luck, i might see one but someone would have messaged and i would miss out... i did however, when i knew that i was going to be able to finally pull the trigger

*rant* was scanning and searching for the best deals before, with the possibility of pulling the trigger or trying to talk the person into waiting on an amazing deal *rant*

finally pull the trigger, i posted a wanted ad for the svd, now it is a solid device and i got 1 response here, and might have gotten more but that sale worked, had 1 ad on a different forum with less strict rules in their classified section, but got very very few responses...

the svd from all i have read and heard is very sturdy, very durable, and overall is a good simple device... so people dont seem to be selling them often.

i know i will probably hold onto mine (once it arrives) until it doesnt work, it may become a back up device, but i dont see me parting with it...

just my :2c:

idk who has the cheapest svd but I'd like to recommend these 2 products. They are cheaper than fast tech;s prices..

101vape sells innokin mvp 2.0 set for $39.99 + $2.99 shipping. Fast tech sells it for around $45.50
Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape

Vaporworld.biz sells innokin VTR set for $79.99 + free shipping over $75.
Innokin iTaste VTR at Vaporworld

They both do everything that an SVD does except its not a tube shape. All of them read ohms and changes voltaged. The 2 box mods can change wattage also but the svd can not.

As for FT-

I have been ordering from them since august this year. I have spent more than I would like to share publicly. I can say that I have always received my orders within 2 weeks. You have to make sure to check the availability of the product you're buying. Sometimes an item will say "ships in 10 days" and someone will purchase it and complain on the 2nd day about why its not being shipped. *facepalm*

Just stay away from batteries. Don't order any batteries from Fast tech because they probably won't make it to the states. I have had 6 orders of batteries sent back to fast tech because it didn't get past customs.

But, I would consider the mvp 2.0 by 101vape. It's a nice little mod that does slightly more than the svd. You can even use it as a passthrough and vape it while charging it. Only down side is that it has a built in battery and you can't change them out whenever you want. But someone, somewhere, will figure out how to do this in the future. lol

I clear 30's are great also. I use these when I feel lazy. I don't like the draw on it because it's kind of a tight draw and I like more airy draws better, but it still performs great with no leaking. I rarely get leaking and if I do, it's just a tiny leak that won't flood the connection area. You definitely can't go wrong wtih these.

.

uh the svd is variable wattage as well...

and it looks like a lightsaber! so you may dislike the svd but...

:vapor:

may the vape be with you!

If you go the MVP route, which I've heard many good things about, but have not owned (I've tried it though, feels good in the hand and easy to use), I would recommend ordering from mtbaker. They have the kit for $60, which includes an iClear 30, charger, and a bottle of juice in your choice of flavor. And, because your order is over $60, it qualifies for free shipping, AND mtbaker throws in a free 15ml bottle with every order over $15. Not to mention, their customer service is top class. Hard to beat that!

The MVP is kinda cool IMO because it has a built in Lithium battery that you don't need to buy. (Which obviously can't be replaced, but the price is right.) Another cool thing about it is that the charger can charge portable devices such as cell phones with the box mod!

EDIT: Just saw the post about the 39.99 price on the MVP. Woah, that's a steal!

wait, really? how do i change the wattage??????

holding your svd so that the fire button is facing you, you should notice one side has the markings VM the other side has PM.

VM=Voltage mode/Variable Voltage PM=Power mode/Variable Wattage

To change between the two press the button labeled PM and the fire button at the same time.

Your display should give a number with a P that is your watts.

I ordered on 10/25/13 (Delay was due to Drip Tips wasn't in stock till the 10/30/13)

November 2, 2013 , 4:41 pm Acceptance HONG KONG
November 6, 2013 , 1:55 pm, Processed Through Sort Facility HONG KONG AIR MAIL CENTRE, HONG KONG
November 7, 2013 , 10:38 am Processed through USPS Sort Facility SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94128

November 12, 2013 , 8:59 am Out for Delivery
November 12, 2013 , 2:39 pm DELIVERED

This is the tracking on my 1st and only order off Fasttech. I would order again. I think they always go to San Fran, so the West Coast people get their Fasttech orders faster then us East Coast. I got the whole SVD Kit for $60, and the cheapest I could find it anywhere else was $99. So for a $40 saving it was worth the wait. But I had my ProVari so I wasn't in a hurry to get that order. I also ordered a KTS Mechanical Mod, EGO-EE2 kit, Authentic X8 2.5ml tank and some small stuff like Drip Tips and O-Rings.

Bit the bullet and ordered from FT / RTD Vapor. Thanks for the advice, all!

What did you end up getting?

I like Innokin, I have the iTaste 134, MVP 2.0, VTR, and the SVD. The VTR was the only one that came with a iClear 30s and I am really liking it. I don't know how long they last before you have to replace the head. But they give a nice big hit.

  • iTaste SVD starter kit w/ mod, both battery tubes, 2 iClear 30s, and 3 replacement heads from Fasttech.
  • Nitecore Intellicharger 2 and 3 AW IMR 18650s from RTD Vapor.

I figure the iClear 30s will at least be backup tanks in case my Protanks fail. They might be improvements, but I'm wary of top coil clearomizers after my experience with Vivi Novas (constant leaking, wicking issues/dry hits, super tight draw, and constantly having to tilt). I can vape my Protanks down to the bottom without any of that.

Kudos on the avatar BTW, I'm a Halo nut too.

where abouts in wa? im on fort lewis, close to tacoma/olympia (in the middle of em)

I live right by you (Tacoma/Spanaway area) and ordered mine from FT and received it in 13 days. Was the first time I ever ordered from them. Doesn't mean you'd get yours that fast, I might have just been lucky.
