Yeah; but if you want more room to build you could just unscrew the unnecessary post. . . . and if you wanted to squonk, you could also drill out the 510+ post . .. and I think Rob seals around that post with something so that your juice doesn't just pool in the catch cup (maybe not, but I think he does) . .. at which point, one may as well mill down the bottom of the atty so it fits on the REO . . . .. or . . . just the first part.

Can't squonk without removing one of the neg posts though, that's the juice hole. The 510 post already has a center hole & is insulated, at least all the ones I have do. Also the later ones have a tall juice well that needs to be machined down. Might as well just buy a RM2 if not buying just for parts.. :)

yep. the easily usable parts are the top cap plus the nifty driptip just like the ones that come with the RM2 :)

The lip on the base surrounding the ceramic insert. If you notice on some people's RM2 you'll see exposed brass. Those are the later ones that have a tall lip. Earlier ones don't have the tall lip, no machining needed there so no exposed brass.

The pic I posted in the micro thread shows it when there was talk about the Triangle but it's buried now. Don't want to post here. ;)

I agree, if wanting to use on a Reos, buy an RM2. I could use a couple of these for just dripping on another mod. Of course my "other" mods, are slowly dwindling to make room for more Reos. :)

Yes, agreed, but there are other drippers out there that would be better IMHO for the same price without having to mod them...... unless you like the look, etc. You'd still have to cut down the lip then drill the air hole on the cap in the appropiate location. I have a number of these sitting in a box, I can easily machine down the lip & drill the air hole very quickly yet they still just sit there. :)

Erm, guys? Rob will sell them to you cheaper than this. Yes, you need to drill your own air holes, but why go elsewhere?

because if i want to try a different airhole or other topcap mod, i'd rather do it on a ten buck cheapie. and, if Robert actually does sell just the topcaps, i wouldn't bother him over something so trivial.

Shrug. To each their own, I guess. He sold me a couple for $7 apiece, so I could try different airhole sizes. I figured I'd rather give him my money than go elsewhere.

So would I. I didn't even think to contact Rob to see if he would sell them. Heck, for $7.00 apiece, it would be worth getting a couple to fool with, or for spare parts.
I don't understand tho, why would one need to cut down the lip?
