So, I've been thinking a bit more on what to buy for DH and I. I've decided on 3 starter kits, 3 more atomizers, cartridges, and e-liquid.

That being said, we are definitely noticing the economy crunch here so are looking to go as inexpensive as possible. Even if that means waiting longer for shipment.

So we started looking at e-cigarette-mart.com and are really liking those prices. especially for the dse901. Is this a good store? is there a better price out there with good customer service? Heck- is there something out there with better customer service and a slightly higher price? Customer service in my book is worth a lot!

So here's what I struggle with . . . yes, it's cheaper to get stuff directly from China, but when you have a problem, it oftentimes winds up being more expensive . . . and frustrating.

I guess you have to run the numbers and figure out what kind of comfort level you have, but, for example, if you buy a starter kit from e-smokeytreats.com, for about $70, you get TWO atomizers (instead of the one that most starter kits provide), and you get a 3 month warranty on parts. Order $100, and the shipping is free. Plus, I think the coupon code of "LEAFORD" should get you 10% off.

I think that when you first start vaping and you're building a stash, it can get pretty expensive pretty quickly, and it's kind of nice to control your costs. While you won't know the actual cost of your liquids/cartridges until you figure out how much you're vaping, at least buying from a local place with a fairly nice warranty fixes your cost for equipment for the next several months.

But I'm not bashing direct orders from China by any stretch of the imagination. I have a pile of DSE901 atomizers on the way from China. I treat my DSE901 atomizers pretty much as disposables. I'm much happier that way. :)

Julie - have you looked at the starter kit at www.thesmokelessshop.com
For $75.00 you get two atomizers, 3 batteries, two 4ml bottles, 10 filled carts, 5 blank carts a leather case.
Right now she is out of stock but expecting delivery end of this week.

If you are open to a penstyle the Rio at www.vapornine.com has been getting good reviews - $70.00 two atts, two batteries.

Yup. In fact, I was going to suggest her shop along with e-smokeytreats because she's got such an awesome starter kit (and such great feedback), but she was out. Yeah, I know . . . she's due for a delivery at the end of the week, but I figure that with all of the delays and problems suppliers have had in getting their stock, who knows. (Although I'm very much hoping her cupboards are full by the end of the week!)

Julie, for some reason i thought it was you looking for the kits, guess i should read the posts better. It was getting a little late when i posted that :p.

I've had nothing but great customer service from Katy. That's where i got my starter kit from. Great kit to get you going and keep you going for a while. Probably my favorite supplier to do business with. Although Ben at Vapornine is doing a great job at getting return business from me right now.

Others have said it but I'd reitterate that bestecig has some great prices and great customer service. I had a battery go bad and he just put it in with my next order. I didn't have to send it back which can be a pain in its own right.

The hardware and juice is about half the price of the US guys, so if you have a decent size order the large shipping fee makes sense. I use their penstyles and juice almost exclusively now and like their menthol a lot (and I am not even a menthol smoker). If you have a large order and e-mail him you can get a deeper discount that negates the shipping.

I too was scared at first to buy from China but am now a complete convert.

Don't go by me as an example for a budget, I'm new to this and here is what I've spent so far...

2 DSE 901 starter kits from Anycigarette.com + 50 high nic pre filled carts ($124)

100 prefilled 901 carts from ebay ($35.00)

Both of these purchases were before finding this forum. After reading about juice and the need for spare parts. I was afraid I'd be woefully unprepared......So:

2 30ml 24mg juice from TW ($65)
2 syringes from Johnson Creek ($10)
20 empty carts from dietsmokes.com Janty C variety since I saw the video showing they would fit on a 901 and hold a lot more juice ($24)
2 USB chargers and 5 batteries from myvaporstore.com ($84)
10 2 dram vials with dropper for mixing my juice ($10)
2 8 ounce bottles PG (food grade) for cutting my juice from ebay ($12)

Then I read about the $29.99 901 special from e-cigarette-mart.com so I ordered 2 more starter kits and 7 more atomizers ($138)

And lastly some flavoring for the juice just to experiment ($15)

So I am at around $500 ....
