Amazing how simply raising the price and putting a different name on them makes some people forget they are a Kayfun clone.
I thought the Russian had an air flow control and Kayfuns didn't and that's why peeps prefer the a Russian over the Kayfun? I was actually looking to try one or the other. I was leaning towards the Russian cuz of this.
The original Russian, was a Clone of the Kayfun 3.1ES, both of which had airflow control.
The Kayfun Lite was a smaller less expensive version of the 3.1ES and did not have airflow control. The R91 (Russian 91%) was a Kayfun Lite Clone with airflow control
The new Kayfun Lite Plus does have airflow control.

They added the airflow control on the Kayfun Lite & called it the Kayfun Lite +. So KFL's don't have airflow control, KFL+ does. I don't think you can buy the original KFL new anymore. There's the KFL+ v1 & v2. The differences are pretty minimal. The driptip design changed, the fillport design changed very, very slightly & the inside of the top cap was changed to prevent people from losing the internal o-ring (which was really easy to do on the v1 if you weren't paying attention).
I've had both the Russian & Kayfuns - the Russian line has gone downhill & the machining isn't nearly as accurate as it is with the Kayfun's. I now have 2 KFL+ v1 & 2 KFL+ v2's.

I have a ring from ProVape and it does look nice, but it's not necessary.
One thing I need to do with my Kayfuns is adjust the 510 center pin on the Kayfuns because the ring causes them to sit a bit higher.

It's just like putting a 22mm carto tank up there... sorta. The threads & base are all machined out of one piece so it's more solid & won't have that tiny wiggle like the carto tanks do because of them being two pieces (the carto & the tank) connected only by flexible o-rings. Aesthetically, they're the same as the 22mm.
I just got a new Provari but haven't picked up a ring for it yet (not a fan of the new ProVape one). It works, but I'll put one on there eventually. Just like I'll eventually get around to Duracoating 2 of my KFL's (even without the +, you can pretty much assume that people are talking about the + model when they use the abbreviation, btw) black to match the current Stealth & the next Stealth. The other 2 are going to get a mirror polish to match the 2 polished Provari's I have now.
Those rings are Loki's. Svoemesto makes a ring specifically for the KFL's since the Provari isn't actually 22mm. The Svoemesto ring has a very slight taper to the outside edge to make it flow even better. Don't have one, but they look nice.

Yes, those are Loki rings. They aren't shiny, they are as matte as plain plastic can be. In the picture they are reflecting the flash, but in person between the plastic button and whatever is on top, they don't stand out. They match the satin black mini even better, because the clear button is shinier.
It's very obvious they are not only made by ProVape, but drop shipped from them (although maybe not in your case, because you got the special one too). My mini Stealth arrived in the well-know Priority Mail box with the little paper notices about batterie warnings and why they don't send a printed manual wrapped around around it; plus, this was the bubble wrap:

You have it exactly right... my first 4 all came direct from Vapor Force in two shipments because the 1 of 3 Stealth green-eyes and one of a kind Tan Military were in his possession. Only my Polished standard came direct from ProVape.
Edit: He does have a supply of both Stealth models in is possession.
