You drip directly onto the atty, unless you have a specific drip tip and then you won't have to take the mouthpiece off every time you need to top off the atty. I don't know much about the Screwdriver 905, but does it typically come with the whistle tip carts? Are the carts filled with the batting? If so, then you'll want to remove that batting if you're going to drip. Otherwise you can moisten the batting filler in the cartridge tip. I prefer direct dripping using a drip tip. Better flavor, better vapor, more throat hit. I only use the filled carts when on the road. Less hassle than trying to drip and drive.

Also start with only a couple of drops. I'm not sure how much juice the atties you're using will hold. My standard 510 atties will hold three drops when bone dry, two when I'm dripping and the flavor tends to fade. Any more than that and it will begin to leak through the ventilation holes where the atty connects to the battery.

If you are using the cartridges, you should take the filler out, fill the cartridge about 3/4 full, slip the filler back in, then top off until the filler does not absorb any more.

There are many other ways, from direct dripping to modifying your filler material. If you're curious about other ways search around the forum and you will find endless preferences.

EDIT: Here is a pretty exhaustive list: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cartridge-mods/72839-cart-mods-how-refill.html

A link to direct dripping is a good read.
If you are using a cartridge that has filler, you want to drip the liquid on top of the filler. If you insert a toothpick between the filler and the plastic cartridge it will make filling a bit easier. By doing this- it allows air into the cart and the filler will absorb the liquid faster and more evenly. Just move the toothpick back and forth a bit to help. Remove the toothpick once filling is finished. The filler should have a slushy type look to it and you should not see a puddle of liquid on sitting on top.
