If you do not use a calculator, you are going to make mistakes--Guaranteed.
Advantage of this calculator:
1. On line and will save your recipe on line.
2. Can easily change mix size.
3. Fill in the blanks.
4. Can easily change PG/VG ratio and mix will aways taste the same.
5. Calculate cost of mix.
6. Takes into consideration PG or other in flavors.
7. No mistakes.

I've been perusing the DIY Liquid forum but it's a little overwhelming. Mainly what I want to know is, if I'm doing 0 mg nic liquid, do I really need anything other than PG/VG, flavorings, bottles, and maybe a dropper for the flavoring? Im picturing just pouring a bottle half full ofPG, other half VG, a few drops of flavoring, shake and call it good. Is that not going to work?

Technically that is ejuice however half PG half VG should work but it will be 50/50 mix only if flavouring is concentrate that I understand not got my hands on concentrate yet it is usually PG base so for 50/50 little less PG

you should though look for water soluble flavours not oil ones

I view both as an extension of the vaping hobby. I build my own coils, and make my own juice, because that way I get exactly what I want, and never have anybody to blame but myself :) You like Cinnamon? One of my favorites, and super easy to do, is 40%pg, 60%VG, 10% Flavor Apprentice Cinnamon Red Hots flavor. That one doesn't need any sweetener. It's the very first flavor I ever made, and I never adjusted the recipe, aside from occasionally changing the VG/PG balance.
I've honestly never tried a cinnamon flavor vape, I always assumed it would be kind of harsh? I'll have to try it out though!

And if you a Really Lazy, and your PG|VG Ratios don't change, you could make "Pre-Mix". Which is a Pre-Mixed Bottle of PG|VG (and maybe a little Water) in the Ratio that you like.

Really lazy is getting a postman/women to deliver pre-mixed in the exact strength (12mg) and preferred PG/VG ratio to your door.

Not that I know anyone who has done that, exactly, much, often...

Yeah I didn't think about the flavors being PG based until you guy pointed it out, so thanks for that! I guess I should pick up some syringes too, I'm sure they're super cheap and I live in Farmville, USA so I'm sure they're easy to get at the feed supply stores around here. My dad might even have some laying around, I'll have to ask :)

I'm lazy but also cheap, so I want to do it as cheap as possible while also being as lazy as possible :p

Up to you. It can be. I personally like fruits and spices, and stay away from complex flavor profiles.
I've found I like simpler flavors, too. The more complex ones don't sit well with me for the most part. Seems like a lot of them I'll like for a couple puffs and then they just make me sick. I have steered clear of some of the stronger flavors (cinnamon, mint, etc.) because I don't like having to clean my tank out between flavors. See previous posts re: lazy. Lol

Say What?

How did Society ever function before there was "an App for that"?

Like I used to tell Undergraduates... "Never Underestimate the Abilities of a Sharp Mind and a Dull Pencil."

I was thinking of getting super scientific with something like" 3 drops of raspberry, 2 drops of white chocolate". Voila, new recipe! Haha

When you get your syringes, put a strip of clear packing tape on them lengthwise, to cover the milliliter markings, otherwise, they wash/rub off. The clear packing tape, if you lay it carefully down the length of the syringe, then press it down outward from there (to avoid bubbles and wrinkles) will last a long time. I've been mixing since about August, and haven't had to re-do any of mine yet. Or if you have a good supply of cheap syringes, just figure on tossing them and using a new one every so often when the markings start to disappear.
