Yep, too crowded for my liking. I do miss the North Shore. But it got old after awhile. I never could get myself to "play tourist". I wish I had now.

Me neither. My plan was to visit every beach on Oahu before visiting other islands. I wound up pulling out flea infested carpets and laying tile instead, painting, carpentry...finally fixed up the house....and left.

My point was not to play tourists. The annual surfing contests in the winter packed NS, didn't like that.

Before I moved up to Turtle Bay, we had to drive that stretch from Wahiawa up there every day. It was tough during the competitions. Real hard not to wreck the van with all of the flesh on the beaches.
