Mine wasn't bad but had to go to a visitation. Had a good friend die of cancer. This one hit close to home for another reason....he was in the same shape that DH is in and it finally got the best of him. He smoked like a chimney though.

Thanks Fudgey. I'm taking it well because he was so ready to go, but it is still sad.

The worst part, in the last few years I've lost a handful of friends to the big C, and have another friend that got the news of only months to go and she isn't ready to go.
She was in the card club that I use to belong to---it broke up, but we are all getting together tomorrow night and pretended not for the reason we are.
