Good evening Ralph , i am frying pork belly right now, i couldnt hold my instinct..............

I am going to try it in the oven this weekend. I have heard that once you try it that way, you'll never go back. Takes a bit longer, but supposed to be well worth it.

i think that if you use the broiler as the final touch it gets better but you have to keep an eye on it

I never use lettuce...although I did have a salad with the sandwich.

It's no good without the lettuce. As long as it's not the head lettuce, which is void of any nutrition anyway. Spinach is good too, and gives folks something to laugh at when you smile. But that's a BST....

FWIW, Too much spinach can lead to stick-sized upper arms and grossly over-sized forearms as well as a strange attraction to women shaped like a pencil.

Looking at that bacon in the oven and all I can think about is cleaning the oven walls. Takes some of the appeal away.

I love spinach but I can no longer eat it raw -- much too acidic. But steamed, creamed, spanakopata (sp?), etc. -- yum.
