Whats the weather like there. It's blowing hard outside, a steady 30 with gusts to 60. I got two of two full trash cans, tomorrow is trash day, and its supposed to get worse.

It's been in the high 70's, low 80's.
We were in the pool yesterday..I got a little red.
It was cloudy and rainy today but I did find a break and was in the pool again for around two hours.
Unfortunately we are in for a cool down.

Dan's getting better. Mostly healed up. Some really nasty scars. My other friend Renee is back at work also. She is doing much better.
You hadn't said anything lately so I assumed but glad to hear that they are doing great!
Yes, it is good. A rough 6 months for Dan, and a miserable 3 for Renee. I am glad they are better now too.
I wonder how Norie is doing? I see hints of her here and there on FB.

She hasn't been here for a bit and I was wondering the same thing. I miss her.

Yep, I think you are right. Employers can and will get away with just about anything in this economy. 
Employees will put up with it, knowing that they must eat.

It wouldn't be so bad if the employer worked just as hard but many go home after 8 hours (or less) and expect the hired help to do overtime to get things done.
I have seen a lot of that too. I guess it's good that they can "run away". LOL
One thing I am noticing, and its hitting especially hard now is that a lot of small businesses are failing. There is just no work for them.

I expected when things started going up in price. People have to cutback to make ends meet. The price of gas is one of the reasons that I stopped going to the health club.
At least you have that pool. That will help in warmer weather.
Our main TV just took a dump. A 37" LCD Insignia from Best buy. It's 13 months old, just out of warranty. I don't think I will be replacing that for a very long time. I will never buy that brand again, it's Best buy's house brand.
ETA: Point being that I cant really afford to replace it.... and.... Insignia sucks.

We got a 48 inch a while back. We put two more years on it. With what the darn thing cost, I hope it last longer than that!!!
I use to buy a lot of things through Best Buy and then they put me through warranty nightmare. I haven't bought a single thing through them since.

How was your day dear?Some of the big chains have really started to disappoint. Best Buy... Staples. Staples really sucks, but dont get me started.
