So. Today on my drive home from college, a car in front of me was driving erratically with another car in front of them. Not going a consistent speed. They were also quite close the to car in front of them. So, I decide to pass them. I don't know about you, but when I pass people on a two lane highway, I slam down on the gas to get back into the correct lane and then coast back to a couple over the limit.

Well... I guess the police in that area have an unmarked black charger with racing stripes on it, which happened to be the car in front. Was going 85 in a 55, never been pulled over before, somehow got a warning. He made a comment that I steadied out around 67, when my foot never touched the gas pedal.

Anyways, my eGo, and eGo case were on the passenger seat, I was expecting him to say something about it or at least make a comment. Not too many people around here would know what the heck it was by looking at it. So, my question is, have any of you had a negative run-in with the authorities relating to an e-cigarette?

Never been questioned by police authorities about my vape gear. I've openly vaped in front of them a outdoor concerts and festivals; no questions asked or stares.

I have a friend that is a cop and he told me that our PD is actually training their officers on what ecigs are and what they look like. He said this came about because a guy almost got shot because a cop didn't know what his PV was that was in his hand when he got stopped.

I've heard that our local police are starting to vape because they are not allowed to smoke in their cruisers. A gal was at my local vape shop who said she works at the police department.

My ex is a police detective and a smoker. She had been "stealing" or "borrowing" (depending on who's saying) my college-age daughter's mod when she ran out of cigarettes at home. When I heard this I offered her to try my iTaste MVP to try to quit smoking. She showed it to her co-workers who had never seen anything other than a cigalike, and the smokers all wanted to get their own MVP.

Be aware that an uneducated cop's first thought upon seeing a mod with a glass tank will be that it is something from a head shop with something illegal being smoked. Having some printed material on hand in your car or in your wallet may help alleviate any possible misunderstandings.

Well said ... had a cop at a convert eyeball me pretty bad as i was in line puffing on it. Mind you, this was an outdoor festival too ... everyone was smoking what have you ... yet he chose to focus on me and my electronic device with suspicion.

My main run in with the police was at an outdoor venue where some people saw me using my Vamo and protank and tracked down one of the police that were there and told him I was using a "mini m*th lab" right out in the open and he needed to arrest me (keep in mind I am in western South Dakota - if you look out the windows on the north side of the plane you will see SD, ND and MT - go ahead and wave, most of us will wave back from the backs of our horses and tractors - but being in Mankato you will understand what I am talking about) - anyway, by the time he got close to me he recognized it was an APV, started laughing, asked me some questions about what he should get to start with to see if he liked it, I set him up with a new cheap EGO, mini vivi nova, usb charger and 10ml ry4 I carried when out and about (can't convert people if your not prepared), walked with him over to the people who were upset, explained vaping to them, gave them info to give to their adult children for websites for starter kits and of course this website for info.

I normally don't get strange looks too often anymore except from people that want to look at and hold a bigger mod to see if they want to upgrade.
