You'll want to get-high drain batteries that are rated for 30 amps. Anything lower is just unsafe. As far as reliable brands go, there's the purple 2500mAh Efest batteries-which are my personal favorite. The Sony VCT5's are great, but I believe they aren't being made anymore but there's the VCT4s. I'm not sure how available those are on fasttech, but there's lots of other sites you can purchase from.

As far as chargers go, if you want to get super fancy (and expensive), get the Nitecore D4. It charges four batteries and can handle 18350s, 18550s, 18650s, and 26650s. It has a digital display showing you all sorts of info about the battery. I use the Nitecore I4 charger, which is basically the same thing minus the digital display.

Sigelei recommend 30A CDR batteries for their 150 watt mod. Sony VTC4's would be a good choice.

I only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

* RTD Vapor
* Illumination Supply
* Lighthound
* Orbtronics
* Battery Junction**

Note: **Ships to Canada

I'm looking to buy a sigelei 150 but not sure which 18650 batteries to use for it as I have been using the istick 30w and 50w. I will be ordering the batteries from fasttech. Are there any specific 18650 batteries and charger you guys can recommend?
Are you in Ontario? I'm curious as to why you want to order batteries from FastTech. They come over on the slow boat, you'll have to wait for a few months without batteries.

When I order from fasttech I usually pay the extra $2.50 for faster shipping. Package arrives in 2 weeks. I'll be ordering the sigelei from fasttech as well so everything will come in one package.

I have 2 pair of Samsung 25r's dedicated to my 150. I really don't push it around too hard. When I do want to see what it can do i have a pair of VTC4's and a pair of VTC5's that really are more for my mechs, but since it's usually just for a moment, IE a trip to a vape store or showing off for a friend, I don't see the "need" to have a pair dedicated for the 150.

Up to 100 watts you are good with 20 amp batteries like the lG HE2 and Samsung 25R. Above that and up to 150 watts you need 30 amp batteries like the Sony VTC3 and VTC4. Make sure you buy from reputable sources that do not sell counterfeits. With Fasttech they need to say 'authentic' in the product description.

Are efest batteries any good?
Should I just go with the sonys for my 150w?

Purple Efest Batteries Not As Advertised

The purple Efest batteries are rewrapped cells made by Sony, LG, or Panasonic. Good batteries, but Efest over-rates the battery specs for marketing purposes. Batteries should be compared by the "continuous discharge rate" not the "pulse or burst" discharge rate. So if you go with the purple Efests, use the original manufacturer's specs, not Efest's.

Thank you for this information!
I think I'll do a little more research before I pick any batteries up, I just want whats possibly best/safe for me and if that means paying more that's fine with me.

It doesn't really pay in the long run to buy the "cheapest" batteries. Cheaper batteries could easily be counterfeits (mostly AW and Sony brands). If you see battery prices which seem too good to be true, you're probably correct.

Most of the veterans here on ECF suggest buying from reputable vendors such as RTD Vapor, Lighthound, Illumination Supply, or Orbtronics. Avoid buying from Alibaba, Ebay, or Amazon, where many fake batteries are sold.

You remove all options of ePacket when you put batteries in your order.
Like others have stated, get your batteries from a local B&M and save the long wait.
