Just started on this hobby recently and I feel really fortunate that there are so many vape stores in the LA area. Right now if I do a search in Yelp, there are 6 vape shops within 2 miles of my office and 22 vape shops within 5 miles. I've only visited a few of them so far and they've all been really great. The markup over internet prices wasn't as high as I feared and the people working in all the shops I've been to were all knowledgeable and helpful. Plus they all have nice juice bars which I find a much better option than the internet juice lottery.

Reading some of the posts in these forums, it appears that not all regions have the same range and breadth of options. I'm curious what other cities/areas have really well developed vape scenes.

Hard to tell. Here in Austin, we have smoke shops that carry vape stuff, and local juice blenders. I have convinced the shop at the corner to research and carry Kanger and official Joyetech products instead of the generic things they carry at the moment.

I usually see one or two vapers while out and about... but basic gear... basic eGo 650s with plastic cartos.

There are also a few dedicated vape stores within a 5 mile radius, but I haven't visited yet... maybe this weekend.

Oddly enough, little ol' Boise, ID is REALLY in the vaping scene - the entire metro area has 30+ stores for a population of about 600,000. A bit over saturated, IMO. Most stores carry the same cheapie garbage, but there are a few with staff that know what they're talking about, and sell more than locally-made juices.

Hi Oxtail. Denver is starting to gain some traction, but I wouldn't call it well developed or a hotbed at present. But vaping is growing in here. I've only been vaping for 45 days (same # as tobacco free days, but who's counting) and have only gone to one store in town, though there are a few others I'm sure I'll be checking out. I moved from LA to Denver 20 years ago and remember that LA has more of EVERYTHING than most places (the good and the not so good).

I live in a town of about 400 people, one bar(mine!), a distillery, and a little convenience store. The store is talking about getting in some juice but Tacoma isn't far from me and there's new stores continually popping up between here and there.

Question - if you own a bar why would you not take a small section of wall behind the bar and open a mini vape shop yourself (remembering that you cannot mark up vape equipment the same percentage as alcohol) - you could have $5000 worth of equipment and juice in a box the size of a footlocker in your office for backstock (not including any expensive mods or rba's)
